Mainline trains from every part of Western Europe and the nearest German and Austrian airports run services to Plattling, where visitors can change onto the local Waldbahn. Trains from Eastern Europe connect through Prague with the Waldbahn at Bayerisch Eisenstein. The local motorways are the A3 and A93 and the local main roads are the B11, B16, B20 and B85.
