Diamante is a charming place to stay and is located close to many interesting places in the region of Calabria. The town itself is famous for its 20th century murals, narrow streets, churches and pretty seafront. Nearby is the scenic medieval town of Belvedere, which is home to a 17th century castle amongst other things. About an hour and 20 minutes drive away is the city of Cosenza. Here holidaymakers will be able to see some fine sights such as the cathedral, Church of San Domenico and the ancient castle. There are several museums in the city including the Open Air Museum. Further south is the city of Lamezia Terme where there are the ruins of an ancient castle, a 16th century watch tower and some fine religious buildings. The Eco-Museum and the Diocesan Museum are also to be found in this city.

Lamezia Terme Airport (SUF) is approximately one hour and 45 minute’s drive from Diamante. Flights arrive here from other Italian cities as well as some international airports with Ryanair. These include Brussels-Charleroi (CRL), London-Stansted (STN), Paris-Beauvais (BVA), Stockholm-Skavsta (NYO) and Weeze (NRN).
