Away from the slopes, Leysin is a great destination for snow shoe trekking and tobogganing.

Away from the slopes, there is always a massive amount happening in Leysin. The Castle of Aigle is wonderfully impressive, and well worth investigating, but for those still looking for an extra hit of adrenaline, there is plenty on offer too. The Snowtube Parc has the largest snowtube facilities in Europe, and the revolving restaurant at the summit of the Berneuse affords spectacular views. The international dog-sled race and the Leysin Nescafe Champs Open are magnificent winter events too.

The 250km of hiking trails, endless mountain biking routes and challenging rock climbing means that outdoor sports enthusiasts flock to the region. The Tour d’Ai is a feather in the cap of many serious climbers, and should not be attempted by anyone without a suitable level of experience.
