The Los Filabres Area is popular for holiday rentals in the Costa de Almeria. The stunning landscape is made up of dramatic hills and valleys lined with citrus trees and olive groves. Cobdar is perched high on a towering rock of reddish stone beneath an amazing white marble cliff. La Cueva de los Letreros (Cave of the Signboards) is in the mountains of the north Almeria province. It is where the “Indalo man”, a symbolic figure holding a rainbow over his head, was found in 1868. It dates back to Neolithic times and is considered a good luck charm or talisman.

It has a high volume of tourists arriving daily from the UK and northern Europe as well as connections from Madrid and Barcelona. easyJet, BMI Baby, Monarch and Ryanair fly into Almeria airport daily and offer cheap flights from the UK while Iberia Airlines are the domestic airline carrier. A hire car is essential to reach the Los Filabres area, about an hour inland.
