Places to go on holiday in Maro, Spain
A one and a half hours drive to the north of Maro, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, is the city of Granada. On a day trip to Granada you can see the Moorish citadel called The Alahmbra, the Palace of Charles V, and the Granada Cathedral. There is also a fantastic Science Park for children. If you visit Granada in the winter you can ski on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada.
The cities of Cordoba and Seville also make great day trips. Both cities offer traditional Spanish architecture and cultural experiences such as flamenco, bullfighting and fiestas.
