Mawgan Porth is the name of a beach and the surrounding small village. It is situated on the North Coast of Cornwall between Watergate Bay and Porthcothan. Mawgan Porth sits in the Vale of Lanherne and is close to Bedruthan Steps, St Mawgan village, RAF St Mawgan, St Eval, St Columb, Porth and Newquay. It has two bridges, cottages, a beautiful 13th Century manor house, now a convent and a church with a "Holy Well" and "St Mawgan Cross", an ancient cross. Half a mile away in the other direction is Watergate Bay with Jamie Oliver's "Fifteen" restaurant and its Extreme Sports Academy.

Padstow just seven miles away has a busy harbour, narrow streets and lots of cafes and restaurants including Rick Steins Seafood restaurant. Newquay less than seven miles away has the best nightlife scene in the whole of Cornwall. Mawgan Porth is five miles from the old Cornish market town of St Columb and it is relatively unspoilt retaining many of its traditional pubs and shops.

Hollywell Bay Fun Park near Newquay has a pitch and putt, go karts and bumper boats. Other Attractions in the surrounding areas include the Eden Project at St Austell, Newquay Zoo, Carnglaze Caverns and the Rum Store in Bodmin and Crealy Adventure Park in Wadebridge.
