Sitting in a street bar on the Plaza de la Paz is an idyllic way to spend an hour, watching the world going by. The Santuario de la Virgen de la Pena is a magnificent shrine carved into the rock. The best views from Mijas can be found from the park at the top of the hill or either of the stunningly beautiful churches of Santa Ana or San Sebastian. San Sebastian Street is thought to be the most photographed street in Spain.

Once you have walked around the village, a great place to stop and admire the view is the Muralla Gardens. From this vantage point, you can see stunning views all along the coast, whilst sitting in the shade of the flowers and trees which are in bloom all year round.
