Things to do in Naricha, Spain
As Naricha is essentially within the boundaries of the town of Nerja, the main visitor attractions in the area are those in Nerja centre itself. Nerja is a charming old town, which manages to successfully combine traditional attractions with modern facilities. Along its winding streets are a number of good quality restaurants, cafe-bars and shops, which in summer months are often filled with tourists. In the centre of town is the Balcon de Europa (Balcony of Europe), a famous viewpoint that offers stunning views out over the sea and surrounding area.
Just outside the centre are the famous Nerja caves, which are famous for their primitive wall paintings. The caves were only discovered in 1959, but are believed to date back over 20,000 years, and have since become the country’s third most visited tourist attraction. No stay in Naricha is complete without a visit to these famous caves.
Of course many visitors to the Costa del Sol simply want to head to the beach, and Naricha does not disappoint on that front either. The community is close to the excellent Burriana Beach, which has won the coveted EU Blue Flag Award for its cleanliness, as well as a number of other, smaller sandy stretches. Walking, hiking, mountain biking and water sports can all also be enjoyed in the surrounding area, and you will not be short of options when staying in Naricha.

After you have explored the many attractions in and around Naricha, you may wish to head outside the area for a series of daytrips. There are many options to choose from in the Aqarquia region of the Costa del Sol, including the picturesque town of Competa (23km), and the tourist development of Torrox (11km), and the best advice is to hire a car and go out exploring.

Naricha and the surrounding area experience a Mediterranean climate with subtropical influences. This means hot summers that see very little in the way of rainfall, followed by warm winters with more than the occasional shower. August is the hottest month, with a daily mean temperature of above 30C.
Flights to Naricha, Spain
Malaga Airport (AGP) is the nearest airport to Naricha, being 60km west along the coast. It is a popular destination for UK airlines, with Flybe, British Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines just three of the operators that make regular trips from the UK. The journey from the airport to your chosen accommodation in Naricha is fairly straightforward, and should take little more than an hour.
