The village is set among 450 hectares of forests, which is perfect for walking and horse riding holidays. The forests is fantastically peaceful, protecting walkers and riders from the sting of the summer sun and providing almost endless spots to sit and recapture your breath before heading further into the forest, looking for an idyllic spot in which to have your lunch.

The Begude Golf Course is the toast of many local golfers. Stretching out below the village, the golf course is hugely picturesque yet don’t allow this to lull you into a false sense of confidence; there are a couple of real challenges to overcome as you play a round. There are also a number of public tennis courts for your use within the village. The Club Med leisure resort at the bottom of the village has a great range of leisure facilities available.

The huge allure of the coast can be very hard to ignore from a holiday rental villa in Opio, but, with only 25km between the two, a day at the beach is an excellent option. The famous beaches of Antibes and Cannes are among the closest, and some of the best if you would like to enjoy scuba diving, deep sea fishing, sailing, surfing, windsurfing or waterskiing, but for days of pure relaxation stretched out on the golden sand, there are many miles of pristine beaches to choose from.

If you are staying in Opio accommodation for any length of time, the attractions of Valbonne and Chateauneuf will most likely become quit familiar. Valbonne is a wonderful medieval village, which still bustles with activity, especially on Friday, which is market day. There are a great range of restaurants, galleries and antique shops.

The beautiful climate of the Cote d’Azur is a huge attraction for those renting self catering Opio accommodation, as the summer months are an absolute joy. There are a great range of flights arriving into Nice from the UK, from luxury services to budget flights with ‘no frills’ airlines. If you would really like to get the most from the region during your stay in Opio accommodation, having the use of a hire car is strongly recommended, especially as it means that you are free to come and go from the beaches of the French Riviera as you please.
