Holidaymakers looking for a great place to stay in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of Southern France might like to stay at Oupia. Just a little further away is Narbonne where visitors can see the Old Palace and the cathedral as well as the museums of art and history and of archaeology. Approximately 45 minutes drive from Oupia is the town of Carcassonne, which features the Basilica of St Nazaire and the Chateau Comtal amongst numerous other wonderful pieces of architecture. The fabulous city of Beziers is about 50 minutes drive away from Oupia. Tourists visiting Beziers will find many interesting attractions such as Saint Nazaire Cathedral, some art museums and the Plateau des Poetes, which is a delightful park.
This region in the South of France is mild throughout the year but is hottest in July and August when the temperatures reach an average high of 25 degrees centigrade. As well as being the coldest months of the year at an average of 10 degrees centigrade, December and January are also the wettest with around 100mm of rain per month on average.
Ryanair has flights to Carcassonne Airport (CCF), which is approximately 50 minute’s drive from Oupia. Flights arrive here from Brussels-South Charleroi (CRL), Dublin (DUB), Liverpool (LPL) and London-Stansted (STN).
