A fine spot

Review Submitted: September 11, 2007 Date of Stay: December 2004
I have stayed at this listing many times - and every time is a joy. The views are the best part - I never tire of watching the Blasket Islands. Scenery is dramatic and lovely. Upkeep is great, and the neighbors are a treasure. The local pub is just a short walk accross a field, where Irish music from local musicians is a regular occurrence. A great launch point for day trips around the pennisula, or into DIngle for shops, pubs and restaurants. We have visited in Decemver, May and June - all good times to go (but you never know what Irish weather will be.) We love the kitchen and the fireplace, as well as the smell of burning peat.

A bit of heaven

Review Submitted: July 22, 2010 Date of Stay: June 2010
Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage with us. It was everything that we hoped for and more! It is so comfortable, well equipped and tranquil. We felt "at home" from the moment we walked through the door. The view through the picture windows is a bit of heaven. The Blaskets seem to change from hour to hour. We visited in June and the weather was fantastic. We had a few morning showers and long sunny afternoons.
We highly recommend this cottage to other families. It is a wonderful place to relax and put work and cares on hold. There are many trails to hike, incredible scenery, the beautiful sea and sunsets to drink in each day, archaeological treasures to explore, interesting people to meet, traditional music in the local pubs, and best of all... a snug, warm, comfortable bed awaiting you at the end of a long fun filled day. We could not have chosen a more perfect place for our holiday.

We'll be back someday

Review Submitted: March 6, 2010 Date of Stay: April 2004
My wife and I along with three teen-aged girls stayed here for a week in April several years ago. The cottage is lovely, and is situated in such a way that the views of the Blaskets and surrounding countryside greet you no matter where you look. We spent a lot of time tramping around the seaside and hills on the Peninsula. Beautiful.

The house is comfortable and well appointed. We had everything we needed for a relaxing and memorable visit. The owners contacted us by phone to see that we were getting along okay, and were friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for a better introduction to Ireland.
