Enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing at your doorstep. 200 feet of private sandy beach with shallow water - ideal for small children. Large lawn opens to beautiful mountain lake. Secluded Gull Pond, stocked with brook trout and salmon, encompasses 281 acres. Unobstructed view of the lake. Two open decks with picnic tables and rockers. Located on a quiet gravel road minutes from Rangeley center. Has the flavor of an old style camp. An ideal getaway for a large family gathering. Amenities include canoe, kayak, charcoal grill, washers, dryers, dish washers, wireless internet access, satellite HD TV, DVD player. All linens included. During the off season the Ark may partitioned to provide accomodations for five or for ten people. Bookings accepted for full weeks or weekends only. Please call for adjusted rates.

My family has stayed at "The Ark" for several summers and have enjoyed every minute! The lodge is beautiful and spacious with plenty of sleeping areas and has all the amenities needed for a home away from home stay. Each time we have arrived, the lodge is neat and clean with fresh linens available. Gull Pond and the surrounding area is serene and quiet. We love swimming in the fresh, clean water and using the kayak and canoe which are provided. Each day my family goes for long, peaceful walks on the nearby trails. For excursions, we take trips into the town where there are wonderful little shops and delicious places to eat, or we shop at the local IGA and use the barbecue provided at the lodge. Whenever we are out, we keep our eyes open for the occasional moose sighting, and we take trips out at dusk along the main roads where we often see moose by the side of the road (sometimes even with their young). We would highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking to get away to a peaceful environment. We enjoy every minute of our stay at the lodge and hate leaving to come home to the hustle and bustle of normal life.

If you are ever taking a trip to Rangeley this is the place to rent. My husband and I along with our adult children and their kids spent this past week at this wonderful place. Everyone had their own space and we all thought "what a piece of heaven". If we ever get the opportunity to be back in the Rangeley area there is no question that this is where we would go. We were especially touched when the owner called to make sure everything was clean and if he could help us out if we had any questions. We all had a great vacation and hope one day to return.
