Nestled in one of Key West's original gated 'mini-compounds,' this spacious 1990's three-story Key West town home provides an island living experience in a traditional tropical' style - both inside and out. A lush private tropical garden complete with large 40' X 16' swimming pool is the main focus of this unique island setting, and this traditional Key West town-home home is situated at the 'pool-side' of the garden. Casual Florida style furnishings are traditional tropical bent-wood bamboo and wicker that blend nicely with the light hard wood floors. A traditional banister wooden staircase leads from the living room to the second floor where you find one bedroom with two twin beds, a full bathroom, and a sitting room that opens to a covered porch through French doors.

Great place to stay!

Very nice house. Clean and comfy. Plenty of room for 3 couples. Has a carport! This was our 5th trip to Key West and the first time we rented a house. We are convinced that is the only way to go! We did drive from Miami airport so we had transportation to go grocery shopping at the bigger grocery & liquor stores. (Although we did stop in at Faustos for a few things.) We rented mopeds for the week...a little far to be walking to Duval too often :) I did make the walk a few times... not too bad if you don't mind the walk. Close to White Street Pier which is great for the sunrise. We did drive to the beach. Too far to walk for us. The pool was a little chilly...but ...still got in it! The beds could be softer for my taste and a couple of the comforters could stand to be replaced soon. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The pool is bigger than you would expect, and literally outside your front door. Plenty of pool towels provided. The only reason I would tell someone not to stay here is the stairs. Older people or someone with bad knees wouldn't like the trip up & down from the 3rd floor. Bring a sleep mask if you are a light sleeper... the bedrooms on the 3rd floor get light early. Not sure about 2nd floor bedroom. If you want to live like the locals...this is great! We did decide if we lived here... 2 levels would be it for us :) Make sure you take your time & check out all the shops on White street. It was nice to be able to grill steaks one night, and cook a few breakfast meals. The washer/dryer is very small...so don't plan on doing all your laundry before you leave. I understand why the housekeeper asks you to start a load before you leave :) There is a laundromat very close by...I think it was M&M. All I know is Sandy's cafe is attatched to it and is a must do! Great Cuban bread! I could have ate there every day! BO's fishwagon (Caroline & William I think... atleast close to that) has the BEST GROUPER! Sunset pier has the BEST RUMRUNNERS! Green Parrot has the best BLOODY MARY! I could go on & on... I love every time I visit Key West... this was by far the best! I will stay here again! All in all a great place to stay!

Quiet,comfortable and homely

Our weeks stay at the gallup arms was wonderful,we found it a great quiet retreat away from the party place of duval st but close enough to walk(15 mins). Very clean and well equipt,our daughters loved the pool. We would definately stay there again.
