Palais Royal, 30 rue Montpensier 75001 Paris, 70m2 or 753 sq. ft sleeps 4. This beautiful 2 bedroom apartment is situated right on the gardens of the historic Palais Royal. It is the ideal spot for a family, friends, or couples traveling together who want to experience real Parisian living. The apartment has its own private entry way from the street and another from the gardens. The apartment is distributed over three levels. It consists of a living room, a separate kitchen, two bedrooms, a full bathroom with toilet, and a second toilet. The living room, located on the ground floor, has high ceilings and floor to ceiling French windows that open onto the gardens of Palais Royal. The bedrooms are located on the 1st floor (American 2nd floor). One of the bedrooms has a beautiful window with a view of the Palais Royal, and the other bedroom overlooks the rue Montpensier. Both bedrooms have double beds. The modern, all marble bathroom, has an American shower.

This location is perfect for touring the sights of Paris, shopping and fine dining. The Louvre is around the corner and Place des Victoires, Place Vendome, the Seine, Place de la Concorde, Tuilerie Gardens and much more are all within easy walking distance of the apartment. There are wonderful restaurants and cafes in the surrounding neighborhood. You will also find a bakery, patisserie, cheese shop and a supermarket close by. Left Bank, Place des Victoires, rue Montorgueil market, Place Vendome, the Seine, St. Germain des Pres, Place de la Concorde, Tuilerie Gardens. Metro Palais Royal, a two minute walk from the apartment, will take you anywhere in central Paris within minutes. Bus and Taxi stand around the corner. There is a health club a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Please inquire for details.

The living room is furnished with a mix of antiques, cozy chairs and a comfortable couch that folds out to make a double bed. There is WIFI, a TV with cable, DVD player, radio/cassette player, and a phone that can call anywhere in France and to cell phones in France. The kitchen, located on the underground level, has a dishwasher, washer-dryer, oven, juice maker, iron, vacuum, coffee maker, toaster and all utensils necessary for cooking and eating.

One of us will always be there to welcome you at the apartment the day of your arrival, to help you in any way we can, and again to check you out when you leave. You will be greeted with fresh flowers, French wine and croissants. There are no extra charges or taxes! The price you pay is all inclusive: telephone, WIFI, heat, electricity, sheets, towels, liquid soap, fresh bottled water, coffee, tea, sugar, laundry detergent... We are available 24 hours a day for anything you need! You will be given the home, work and cell phone numbers of Isis and Alex in Paris. We will provide you with complete directions to the apartment from the airport in English. I spent a week here with my wife and 12 year old daughter. The property was as described and no extra fees were incurred beyond the agreed upon price. A laptop computer was provided with internet access and wireless was available free of charge if you want to use your own computer. The living room is now tiled instead of the carpet in the picture. Communication with the owner Alex was easy and the on-site service (taxis, meet and greet, property orientation) provided by his representative Karina was excellent. The location is really unbeatable. It's literally a 2 minute walk to the Palais Royale/Louvre metro stop and another minute on to the Louvre entrance. There are two bakeries a block away to satisfy your morning croissant or pan au chocolat cravings. The Monoprix grocery store on Avenue L'Opera is a 10 minute walk for groceries if you plan to do your own cooking. Coffee as well as soap for the laundry machine and dishwasher were provided.
Potential issues: This property is not for anyone who has trouble with stairs. There are narrow steps up to the bedrooms and also down to the basement kitchen. The living room is a bit drafty in cooler weather. Noise from the next door restaurant may be a deterrent for those wanting to go to bed early on the weekends.
I would definitely stay here or in another of Alex's properties again.
