Above the small holiday town of Villagio Merea, surrounded by a pine forest, is the lone house La Pineta. The modern and brightly furnished house offers enough room for six persons, with its two bedrooms, bathroom, and large living room/kitchen with a pull out sofa. The generous, partly covered terrace, with its fantastic view over the bay of Diano Marina and the sea is inviting to those seeking an evening of relaxing or a small social gathering. Diano Marina, with its many beaches and year-round events and festivals, is only 15 minutes away. The closest shops are but 10 minutes away in historical Diano Castello. La Pineta is perfectly suited for tours through the San Pietro valley with its many olive groves, and through the ligurian back country, all the way up through to the foothills of the alps, either by car, bike or on foot.

Liguria is a narrow strip of land, which lies in the north of Italy, and is bordered on the one side by the sea and on the other by the Alps and the Apennines. The coast with its numerous bays is about 450 kilometres long and along its entire length there are wonderful sandy beaches as well as tranquil pebble coves. The mountain landscape offers cyclists and hikers plenty of paths to enjoy. Liguria has large cities, like Genoa, as well as small idyllic towns, making for an interesting contrast.
