Longford Hideaway is a very private one bedroom 500 sq ft cottage set in a working Senepol cattle ranch with an organic orchard/vegetable garden. A mile walk from a secluded 2 mile beach and the nearby hills, it is a walker's paradise and a fisherman's delight for its Permits flats, while its location on the South shore of St Croix makes it a great base from which to explore the whole islands. Sleeps 2-4, full kitchen, linens, pool, TV/VCR, fans, A/C, BBQ. Fishing guide available

We had the most fantastic time at Longford Hideaway! The beaches near the cottage were wonderful for swimming, snorkeling, and wildlife-watching, the landscape was just stunning, and we just loved the animals (Diana the dog accompanied us over land and water during a long beach-and-kayak excursion!). Valeria, Chicco, Luca, and Christina were the perfect hosts, combining tremendous warmth and respect for our privacy. Truly our only regret is that we weren't able to stay long enough to continue some of our fascinating conversations with them. I'd recommend Longford to anyone, especially families with children. Our five-year old daughter always had something fun to do, with the pool, the animals, and the extremely friendly Gasperis. I just hope that not TOO many people discover it - I want it to be available the next time we visit St Croix (we fell in love with the whole island, by the way).

We had a great time at the ranch. We loved the dogs- they took us to the beach every evening. The beach was great for shelling and we did a bit of snorkeling too. The pool was a nice touch during the mid-day heat.
We appreciated the information about restuarants and places to hike. Kudos to Valaria and her family for having such a great place.

Life on the farm by the seashore. Just stay put by the pool or come and go with the soothing Northeast Trades day and night. Relaxing, real and refreshing. The Gasperi's are good neighbors. The dogs so well behaved and friendly, the placid cattle, elegantly feathered roosters. It's a perfect base for a vacation on St. Croix. Nothing else like it on the island. But we hope it doesn't become too popular!

This was our 4th or 5th trip back to St. Croix and the Longford was an absolute delight! It was nice to stay on the South side of the island for a change and explore new territory. Half Penny beach was beautiful and will be a beach we will definitely visit again. And the South Shore Cafe was a great find-one of our best meals on the island.
Of course our favorite pastime was sitting by the pool with the full attendance of dogs, or going to the beach out front to take them all for a dip.
Thanks for all your help and amazing hospitality.A beautiful place with wonderful people, and a Xmas to remember!
