Wonderful year round saltwater home located in the middle of a quiet fishing village on the coast of Maine, in Round Pond. Great front deck overlooking a lovely harbor full of lobster boats. Large kitchen with sitting area, window seating, and snack bar. Living room w/library area and piano, den/study, finished basement room. Three bedrooms upstairs, two w/queens, one small room w/a twin bed. Full bath upstairs with tub/shower, 3/4 bath down w/shower. TV, VCR, CD, W/D, microwave, deck furniture, charcoal BBQ grill, linens included. Close to all village activities, yet peacefully removed from it all, this home is extremely well cared for, spacious, and family oriented. Swimming available at the end of the road during high tide/half tide. Easy access to shore via walking path to Town Landing. Tennis court available close by. Within walking distance of harbor restaurant and lobster shack for outdoor eating of lobsters/clams/oysters on dock. Convenience store and gas minutes away.

One and 1/4 hours northeast along the coast from Portland, 45 minutes from L L Bean, 30 minutes from Camden and Boothbay Harbor. No pets, no smoking.

Fabulous Location, Better Owners

Our family stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. The home is furnished comfortably, the kitchen is well stocked. The location is perfect if you want serene, quiet, great short walk to lobster and ice cream. Short drives to multiple beaches. If you've bored with going to Boothbay but like the general area, this is a great choice. There's no Internet, LCD flat screens, etc. But you have that at home, right? So if you want to stay at this house, you can expect a lobster pot, a ping pong table, a deck, a huge yard, and tons to do locally within 30 minutes drive, and much more within 90 minutes for daytripping.

Ever better, however, are the owners. Simply put, they are the nicest, most responsive, most helpful people we've met in our many vacation home rental adventures -- and we've met many nice people in doing so. I hesitate to tell you all they did for us, as you will then rightfully expect the same. So let me just say that they were extremely accomodating, before, during and even after our stay, yet never intrusive.

Strongly recommended. If you can get in.

Peace, Quiet and Lobster Down the Hill

Our family has stayed at Harborview House three wonderful times and enjoyed more each time. The owners are responsive and so kind. The home is immaculate and everything we need is there. With an incredible view, so many things to do close by, and a picture-perfect town in walking distance, it's an ideal place for a family to stay for a restful and relaxing vacation. Be sure to get to the lobster pound down the hill for a fresher than you can imagine dinner and then stop by the Country Store for ice cream. It's nirvana...

This property was a wonderful, perfect vacation home for a family. We couldn't have chosen a more idyllic setting. The home, the views, the central location made our trip the most memorable we have had. The owners were extremely kind and welcoming and the residence was very comfortable and clean.
