Deep water lakefront cottage in a cove with beautiful views of Snowbird Mountains. Located 6 miles north of Robbinsviille on US 129 in Thunderbird Mountain Resort community. 1 hour from Cherokee-Harrah's Casino, Nantahala Outdoor Center for whitewater rafting, canoeing and kayaking. Joyce Kilmer National Forest nearby for hiking. Five minutes from marina and their boat rentals. Also nearby ski-doo rentals. Cottage has large sitting room, well equipped kitchen, 1 master bedroom with queen bed and 1 small bedroom with bunk for 2, large eat-in screened porch overlooking lake. No youngsters under 10, please. Ideal for a couple and 2 children or 4 adults max. If you use tobacco or wish to vacation with your pet, please do not consider us for your vacation accommodations.

We rented Grins and Giggles on line. It was as great or greater than we expected. The cabin was clean and well maintained. The owners were super. They gave us some fresh tomatoes which were grown on the property. We ate everyone of them and they were delicious. On the table in the screen in porch we found a fresh cutter of hydrangeras which were soooo pretty. I loved looking at them. We rented a pontoon boat from a local marina. Everyday we enjoyed different aspects of the lake. Fishing was not good but we hope to return just enjoying the area is worth it.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
