Lookingglass Place is secluded, peaceful with a beautiful view of Canyon Lake. Great Tree Room, huge stone fireplace great for family or group gatherings. Large kitchen and Dining room for large families. Jacobs Creek Beach 1/2 mile, fishing 1 block, boating, jet ski rentals, 3 miles, sailing, Guadalupe River tubing 3 miles, only 40 miles to San Antonio. ***HOUSE totally reconstructed, with completion of February 2007***. Blue Water Lake: Canyon Lake is one of Texas's finest lakes, Boating and Sailing conditions are excellent. Fishing and water sports abound. Lookingglass Place has a panoramic view of the lake that stretches for over 12 miles. Upstairs decks with Hot Tub allow for spectacular vistas as well as romantic stargazing.

Fantastic River Tubing: Located less than 3 miles from the fabulous Guadalupe River, for exciting Canoeing, rafting or tubing. Schlitterbahn Water park (rated # 1 in the world) is only a 16 mile drive.

Antique and Shoppers Paradise: Wimberly, Texas is an art lovers meca, only an 18 mile drive from Lookingglass Place. Fredricksburg, also an art and antique center is exactly a 50 miles drive. San Marcos Tanger and Prime Outlet Malls are 19 miles door to door from Lookingglass Place. SAN ANTONIO is 40 miles to the south, with Fiesta Texas, Sea World, The Alamo and the one of a kind River Walk. Extend your stay and treat your group to one of the most fascinating cities in the world, but return every night to the quiet and peace of Lookingglass Place.

Secluded but Centraly located-Very Relaxing

Jean and I were tired of staying in downtown San Antonio, but still wanted to be near the activity. Looking Glass was like going away to Colorado but still being near Greune Texas, Wimberly and the Guafdalupe River, as well as San Antonio. The grandsons enjoyed jet skiing on Canyon Lake. The house is well equipped, on 3 acres with a family of deer we enjoyed feeding. The owners
were very polite and accomodating. A very RELAXING experience.

Looking Glass Place is awesome! The floor plan is perfect for large groups. The backyard is also wonderful for entertaining. The owners were a breeze to work with. We got exactly what we expected which is not always the case with internet advertising. We will certainly return to Looking Glass Place!

A Great Family Hide away

My Family was so impressed with this canyon lake house they want to stay a hole week the next time we come.
The supprize is not how big the house is but the charm.
Every where you turn there is something to see or do.
Even thow we stayed only a weekend time slowed down and my family reflected on the wonders of the area.
From the midnight fires to the early swim it will be something we will remember of for a long time.
