Aikane is an ideal choice for a couple, family or groups, especially those who enjoy staying by the beach but prefer the spaciousness, comfort, privacy and value of a quality vacation home. Come see for yourself why Aikane Kauai is listed as Editor's Pick in the 2009 Kauai Lonely Planet Guidebook. This is one of a handful of homes by Poipu Beach. No need to drive, just walk out the door about 60 yards to the ocean then along the coast past 4 homes to reach the first of a string of beaches and bays. Aikane Kauai Vacation Home is steps away from a string of beaches and bays. Poipu Beach Park has a protected lagoon, wide open grassy areas and playground equipment over a spongy ground surface. Poipu was voted the best kids' beach in the state by readers of Hawaii Magazine and the best beach in America (2003) by Travel Channel TV for its beauty, sandy bottom lagoon, sunsets, warm people, safety, climate, comforts, and other area activities. Adjacent Waiohai Bay offers superb snorkeling and for the more advanced, body surfing and boogie boarding at Brennecke's Beach and surfing on the outer reefs. There are also three surfing breaks within walking distance.     Stays longer than 7 nights are pro-rated at the weekly rate.

    Add Hawaii state tax (12.42%) and cleaning fee ($150 or $195).

    If your group includes 4 people or less you can rent just the upstairs. This gives you the lower cleaning rate. The first floor suite (3rd bedroom/bath) will be locked off but never be rented to another party.

    Policies
    Reservations: Phone or e-mail to confirm available dates. Courtesy reservations can be held for 2 days.
  • Deposit: A $250 refundable security/damage deposit is required to confirm your reservations. Your deposit will be returned to you by mail or credited to your account within three weeks of departure, less extraordinary cleaning or damage exceeding normal wear, if any.

    Occupancy: Limited to confirmed guests. Not sure about who's all coming? No problem. Your confirmation can be updated any time.

    Payment: Kindly requested 90 days prior to your arrival. Traveler's, personal and business checks preferred. Mastercard, Visa and Paypal accepted. For specials: checks accepted or credit card with 3% sucharge.

    Cancellations: Must be in writing by e-mail. Deposits and payments are fully refundable less a $50 cancellation fee if made at least 90 days prior to your planned arrival. Cancellation notification of less than 90 days may result in forfeiture of the rent. There will be no forfeiture if I am able to re-rent to another party for the period affected by the cancellation.

Let me know your preference and I'll have everything set prior to arrival.

Further details for this holiday house rental in Poipu, USA

Further Considerations: The county has been cracking down on illegal vacation rentals operating on Kauai and Maui. My place is fully permitted so there is no chance of having your reservation cancelled at the last minute by the county. My home provides a nice balance of convenience without being in an overcrowded area or too remote. It is among the handful of homes by the beach. The hotels in the area are about quarter mile away. There are very nice coastal hikes in the immediate area and spectacular secluded beaches a mile or so east. Very nice to walk from the house to a series of beaches. There are also couple of restaurants within easy walking distance. The larger grocery stores and farmer's market are 1 to 3 miles away. Something also to consider is staying on the sunny side of the island and where the ocean is far calmer most of the year.
