-If you've ever 'almost' contacted us and haven't yet, this might be the time ! Our last summer to rent Harbor Hill is 2010. Visit 'Harbor Hill', the coast of Maine and Acadia National Park (45 minutes to Mt. Desert Island). This year-round home features living room and large family room with deck overlooking Center Harbor, Eggemoggin Reach and rugged Maine Islands. Watch beautiful sailing yachts from large yard or from deck off kitchen. House is nicely furnished and kitchen is well-equipped. 19 ft Cape Dory for charter @ 400 per week to qualified person. Boat can be chartered separately and has a different availability calendar. Please call for info.

Great little house on a cute harbor in Maine. Pluses are sailboat that can come with house, view from deck and large summer room. minuses(not owners fault) 20 minutes to real grocery store, boatyard near with some equipment niose during day and mosquitos(they carried one of us off) a little off the beaten path ut worth the trip
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Thank you "sailorguy" very much for the kind review of Harbor Hill. What makes Brooklin special is that it is a distance to the grocery store chains, etc. Sometimes an inconvenience, just takes planning a bit and we do have a good little country store within walking distance. The nearby boatyard is actually a calling card to a lot of people as Brooklin is famous for building beautiful boats and that's why they come. Yes, you can hear some machinery, so if you're looking for solitude and quietness, Harbor Hill may not be for you. The mosquitoes are plentiful, just like anywhere else. It's a "timing" issue. If you stay out after dark, you will get carried away! As stated in the review, "a little off the beaten path but worth it", sums it up beautifully. Thanks again for taking the time to write.

We stayed her in July of 2004 with our two teen daughters. The photos and listing did not do the place justice! The house was large. We had more than enough room to spread out. Everything worked. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms and kitchen were well appointed. The scenery was gorgeous and the place was clean and quiet. There were plenty of places nearby to shop, sight-see and rent kayaks, etc. We have rented cottages before, but this one was truly our best value! Thanks for your honest representation of this wonderful property.
