Gratitude!

The gracious and professional home owner has considered and provided every amenity, down to the smallest details. An amazing amount of care and love went into preparing this property for the renter, for which, I am very grateful. Everything was in perfect working order, we had an awesome time, and we would certainly return.
Some of my favorite things include the wood burning stove, which functioned very efficiently, and the brook out back, which featured deer prancing by. And after a snowfall, the whole scene is so stunningly beautiful, it's like a surreal dream. We built a wicked cool snowman! Oh, and I love the steam bath, followed by the crisp, clean mountain air, followed by coffee and cigars on the deck.
We didn't try out any restaurants, just cooked our meals in the warm and inviting kitchen.
Mount Ascutney is very close, and has a friendly, family feel to it. I signed my seven year old daughter up for group skiing lessons; instead, she received a two hour private lesson from the head ski instuctor! Nice. Okemo mountain is also sweet. One day we skied there, it snowed all day long, probably a foot of fresh snow.
The kids always like The Monshire Science Museum in Norwich, VT, and my girlfriend likes shopping in West Lebanon, NH (LL Bean and Eastern Mountain Sports, in particular.) I can recommend Lui Lui's food.
No regrets, but one mistake...don't rent a rear wheel drive SUV! I can't believe I did not get a four wheel drive!
Peace, and vaya con Dios!
