On the border between the Northeast Kingdom and the Eastern Townships, the custom designed Canadian Hilltop House sleeps 15 and offers a splendid view of the Green Mountains and 26 mile long Lake Memphremagog (a 5 minute walk down the hill). The house is a completely renovated, two-story, four-bedroom (nine beds), five-baths structure with 5,000 square ft of modern living space, complete with luxurious amenities in every room. Sleeps 15 in 4 bedrooms with 3 twins and 6 doubles (no bunk beds, lofts, trundles, basement rooms or pull outs) Huge Jacuzzi, steam shower, single jacuzzi, soaking tub and shower in five separate bathrooms! A fully equipped open kitchen: 5'x10' granite slab island containing a second sink, a cutting block, a Jenair convection oven and seating for six people. A 20'x20' dining room, seating 12 A 20'x40' family room with a view of the lake. TV and VCR provided.

Visit Newport or the adorable French-English village of Magog only 20 minutes away and shop in the many boutiques or dine at one of the dozens of French bistros that line Main Street. Pick out a bottle of wine from one of the three local wineries, including the breathtaking Abby Saint Benoit Du Lac which features tasty cheese and apple treats made by the resident monks. Enjoy the fall foliage or hike one of the many mountains nearby. If you want to have an evening or weekend of fantastic nightlife, beautiful Montreal is only one and a half hours away! Summer: Spend summer days relaxing on the beach, fishing, swimming, waterskiing, tubing, jet skiing, or canoeing out to one of the many islands on this 26 mile long lake. You can take out the canoe for a picnic on the creek or rent a power boat a half mile down the road at the marina.

A four-sided stone fireplace opens to the family and dining rooms and occupies the center of the first floor- its massive stonewalls extend the entire height of the house and continue to rise through the cathedral ceiling and the roof. Exquisite architecture and woodwork throughout the house- including rounded archways, hand carved oak doors, dovetail cabinets, and open design stairways. Central vacuum system and washer dryer A wrap-around deck (on three sides of the house) and enormous lawn Lake access for boats and canoe- life jackets and paddles provided Picnic table and BBQ grill with gas provided

I am genuinely impressed,

the photo's of this place do not do it justice. Beautifully done wood work inside , plenty of space for the guests. Never have to wait for a shower or bath with the five bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you need to make anything you can dream up, huge island with plenty of seating comes in handy.

The stone fireplace is exposed 360deg and rises from ground to third floor. blaconies on the second floor look down to the first floor with the fire place rising through the middle of the opening...Although not suggested some of the climbers in my group where able climb it.

The caretaker also went out of his way to help us. A+

I would def. rent this place again! a real gem
