Waterfront tidal shore property. Cottage style post & beam 4 season year-round house with inviting wrap-around deck, southern exposure, and central heat. A peaceful woodland setting with some of the oldest oaks on the island. Explore the many hiking trails, fishing, swimming (ocean and fresh water pond), artists' galleries, public island golf course & tennis courts, local farmer's market, and shops or visit the Haystack School of Art. A short ride will take you to Stonington's piers, movies & theatre and busy working fishing port. Visit Isle Au Haut or travel to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Bike/ kayak rentals available on island. House Layout: 2nd floor: comfortable master bedroom (queen) with water view from balcony, full bath, 2nd bedroom with 2 twins and reading loft. 1st floor: large open living/ dining areas with lots of windows (view an ever-changing tidal cove), well-furnished kitchen, custom cherry cabinetry, breakfast nook and 1/2 bath.

This was our first trip back to Maine in 27 years, and our first time on Deer Isle. We were looking for a nice home right on the water since we enjoy kayaking and wanted easy access to the water. This home provided the water access we were looking for and the kayaking was better than expected.

The home was in a nice secluded location and was beyond our expectations. The pictures on-line really don't show the overall charm and down-home feeling that we experianced. This was a fabulous getaway and an exceptional home and value. We look forward to a return to this home in the future.

Oasis on the Cove

We have been renting this house for the past 7 years, and it feels like our second home. It is always impeccably clean and well cared for, and the décor is lovely. The house is amazingly bright with lots of windows and skylights, and we find the private setting very serene and conducive to total relaxation. Our favorite pastime is reading on the deck or in front of the windows while watching the tides come in and out—so peaceful and tranquil. While it is often hard to motivate ourselves to leave the house, we greatly enjoy the local galleries and restaurants and the genuine friendliness of everyone on Deer Isle. We highly recommend this property.

We have been visting Maine for the past 5 years. Your house was by far the best house we have stayed in. We felt right at home. The views, the decor, it had everything we needed. The kids had such a wonderful time exploring outside. We had plans to see other sights but instead stayed at the house read a book, ate local seafood and enjoyed a great place. See you next year hopefully for 2 weeks.

We visit Maine every year and usually "explore" at least a few days, but when we arrived in your home, we settled in and were totally satisfied to just watch the tides come in and out and read away the days. Very relaxing...we'll be back.
