We have stayed at many, many houses on Cape Cod over the years, and this one is among the best. The large property is surrounded by stately trees, giving it a secluded feeling. It is very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Lovely flowering gardens and an herb garden are meticulously maintained by the owner. It is a short walk to a scenic pond, and a wooden swing and hammock are available in the yard. On the back deck there is a gas grill, propane provided. In addition, there is a delightful screened porch off the dining room, complete with dining table and chairs. The enclosed outside hot shower is well designed, with an adjacent space for dressing and hanging clothes away from the spray. There is a line for hanging wetsuits, bathing suits, etc. outside to dry. There is a huge garage to store your bikes and surfboards, in addition to cars. Because the owners inhabit the home in the off season, everything is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The appliances are quiet and easy to operate. The house is spacious and comfortable, with ample storage space in dressers, kitchen cabinets, and closets. They have thought of everything to make vacationing here easy and enjoyable. Linens and towels are provided. There are even extra beach chairs and bikes available for your use. The entrance to the bike trail is about 3 miles away, and you can either bike there or drive and park. Many beautiful beaches are within easy driving distance. Orleans has some of the nicest restaurants in the area. Academy Ocean Grille offers outstanding expensive fine dining, Orleans Inn has waterfront dining and good food, and pubs, pizza places, and ice cream shoppes are nearby as well. The Super Stop & Shop is very convenient, and has excellent prepared foods, baked goods, and Boar's Head deli products as well as just about anything you could want at a grocery store. This home offers outstanding value for the rental price, and the owners are welcoming, available, helpful, pleasant, and accommodating. The quality of this property actually exceeds the description and the photos, which is rare. I would definitely recommend this rental, and also return!
