Nationally rated as a Superior Small Lodging, Pineapple Place is a small, well-kept property of one and two bedroom apartments just across Ocean Blvd. from one of South Florida's award-winning public beaches with lifeguards, a fishing pier and lighthouse. Enjoy our swimming pool, BBQ area and tropical landscaping. A coin laundry is also located on the property. We are centrally located in the safe, ocean side community of Pompano Beach, about 15 minutes North of downtown Fort Lauderdale and 15 minutes south of Boca Raton. Walk to waterfront restaurants, shops, snorkel/dive boats, charter fishing boats, jet ski and boat rentals and more. The closest 36-hole golf facility is a five-minute drive. I-95 is a 15-minute drive for easy access to attractions and shopping throughout South Florida. For the comfort of future guests, no smoking is allowed. Small dogs: inquire.

    Minimum stay is three nights year-round.

    Rates for holidays and special events may be higher. For longer stays, every fourth consecutive week is free or discounted. Please note that our 'monthly' rates are for four-week periods and NOT calendar months.

    Additional fees include a $100 exit cleaning fee for 1/1 or $125 for a 2/2, and 11% tax. A $500 security deposit is posted to your credit card on the day of arrival as a temporary hold on the funds and not a charge to the card.

    A 50% deposit of the rental fees are required to confirm a reservation. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. Rates are subject to change until confirmed. We accept all major credit cards.

Fabulous Stay

My husband and I travel a lot (him on business and me along for the “ride”), and for the last year and a half we’ve discovered how much better it is to stay in vacation rentals instead of hotels. So far, Pineapple Place is the best we’ve found by far, and we will be back. We found it to be extremely clean and well cared for.

The owner met us on arrival since they say they do not have a traditional check-in. Their office is five minutes away at the town center, but each apartment has a keyless entry system so that our door was programmed before our arrival with a code that we gave them (we loved having our own code and no keys). We could have let ourselves in, but she came to greet us to show us around and get us settled in, which made us feel very welcome.

The kitchen had everything expected and more (stuff like a pizza slicer, lots of utensils, storage containers for left-overs and high end pots and pans, attractive dishes). She also had all kinds of cleaning products and a box of kitchen garbage bags under the kitchen sink so that we did not have to go out and buy all that for our five night stay. The only thing they said we needed to purchase when we bought our groceries was enough toilet paper for the rest of our stay (they started us off with two rolls). There was no dishwasher…but we really didn’t need one (that’s why I have my husband)!

We felt more than comfortable with other things that were supplied like books, magazines, puzzles and games, stereo system and a DVD so we could rent movies. We found high-quality beach chairs and plenty of beach towels in the apartment, and bought a cheap beach umbrella at the nearby Walgreens, which we left in the apartment for the next guests (although you could rent umbrellas from the concessionaire on the beach). My husband absolutely has to have wireless Internet when we travel, which was provided for free here.

The king bed was firm and comfortable, the furniture was pretty and in good condition and the apartment was roomy. The bathroom was mostly updated. It still had an old-style vanity but it was in pristine condition so I guess they didn’t need to change it out. We loved the bar-be-que and pool deck and well kept gardens. A maintenance person came out right away to change the propane in the grill when we called to say it had run out (we used it a lot), and he was very friendly and asked if there was anything else we needed.

Tidy place, nice location, great for families

Very nice small property with lots of room and all the amenities a family could want. Very close to the beach (just walk across A1A, which is less busy in Pompano Beach than further south in Fort Lauderdale) and the beach is uncrowded and the water is fairly warm. The unit we stayed in was very clean, had a full kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The pool is a little chilly but the kids didn't seem to mind! The unit could use some minor updates (taps for the bath were old, also bathroom vanities and sinks) but the owners clearly take care to keep the place clean and everything in working order. They are also very helpful should you need anything. The 2 bedroom unit is slightly expensive in high season, the 1 bedroom is probably a better value. This is a nice, quiet area with mostly families and retirees coming to the beach. The property is situated in between a mix of older low-rise condo buildings and newer high-rises.
