Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay in this clean, spacious home. There was plenty of sleeping space, and every convenience was provided. The location near the Cliffs of Moher is excellent. A great place to stay. Highly reccommend.

Silence of the Hills

Review Submitted: August 6, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
This is a fantastic cottage with great views from all sides - down to the sea and across the bay to Lahinch on one side (there's even a telescope) and to the countryside out the back. There is a lovely feeling of space due to the clever design with the cathedral ceiling/gallery. It is very well furnished - quite modern with lots of light but also 'homely' with books, cds and games. The kitchen is very well equipped so it's nice to spend time in the cottage. It's in a very good location for visiting beautiful County Clare and is really peaceful. Myself and my family would love to come back to stay here when we return to Ireland.

More than a cottage

Tom and Barb Waite Park, Minnesota USA
Review Submitted: April 29, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
The property was much more than we expected. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. There were 6 adults in our group and we all had adequate room. We loved the fireplace in the main room and the windows afforded a magnificent view of Lisconnor Bay. We did a lot of small hops from the cottage, so we did not get to fully enjoy the solitude. It was a nice, quiet cottage and well worth the rental fee. We could even see the roof of this cottage from the Cliffs of Mohr visitor center-it's that close!!

Ciunas na gCnoic

M & W Walpole, NH
Review Submitted: April 29, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009
My husband and I stayed in this delightful and lovely ,clean, well-maintained and well-situated cottage for an extended holiday and now wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. It is an easy one hour or less drive from Shannon and a great home base for day trips. It is roomy and bright with cathedral ceiling and floor to ceiling windows in the lounge and at the same time cozy with central fireplace flanked by two comfortable sofas. It is ideal for entertaining or just relaxing after a day of exploring the Burren, visiting the Cliffs of Moher or maybe pony-trekking or golfing--all within minutes of the cottage. Having three ensuite bedrooms is definitely a plus as is the lovely kitchen with everything you would ever need for preparing meals plus a washer and dryer for your convenience. The owners are exceptionally nice, helpful and supply a more than generous selection of CD's, DVD's, games and a large library of guidebooks and novels for your use. They even provide their very own guide which gives you lots of information on everything in the area. We especially found it helpful in locating traditional music sessions as it tells you where, what days and what time the sessions are. This is something you won't find in a typical guidebook. This cottage is, indeed, a quiet, restful place with beautiful views of Liscannor Bay and the countryside with its forty shades of green. It is a place you will hate to leave and will continue to long for until you can return! We are already planning our return!

Peaceful, tranquil setting, beautiful views

Orchidtoo Washington, DC
Review Submitted: April 28, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
We (my husband and I) stayed at the ciunas na gcnoic cottage in late April 2009. Having rented vacation homes many times in varied settings, already upon entering we were delightfully surprised by the quality of the dwelling and the beautiful surroundings. The home is clean and inviting with personal touches that made us feel at home. The location is ideal for exploring County Clare. Although it was just the two of us, the house has plenty of room easily for 7 people, maybe more.

Our stay was delightful.
