Located in the Blue Hill area, this cottage has over 200' of deep water shore frontage on an acre lot with pine interior. Newly remodeled kitchen & hardwood floor in living room. 13 mile long Toddy Pond is great for fishing, boating, & swimming, where you're sure to see some loons. Pick wild blueberries from our nearby private field. Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park less than an hours drive. Don't forget the Fall foliage & hunting season with over 1000 private acres to hunt on to get your deer, bear, partridge, ducks & wild turkey!

No clean water

Two days before we went, the owner told me "Oh by the way, there is no drinking water - you need to bring bottled water". So only untreated pond water is all you get from the taps. To wash your body, hands, dishes and clothes. And the owner acted like I was crazy to have an issue with that. If we hadn't had a friend down the pond we wouldn't have been able to shower the whole time we were there. Nowhere in the ad or the rental contract did it say we would not have clean water.

And the furniture - not only completely uncomfortable, but also run down, broken and dirty. Even the front seat of the canoe was broken. And the dock is so crooked we almost slid off every time we sat down. We left 3 days early, and should have left the first day. Worst vacation of my life. Huge disappointment.
