In addition to 15 miles of hiking trails with beautiful waterfalls and nature trails, Big Canoe offers TWO Golf Courses ( 27 holes ) of lush greens surrounded by crystal lakes, towering trees and majestic mountains! Lake Petit, the largest of 3 lakes in Big Canoe, covering over 113 acres. The lake is stocked annually with rainbow trout. Canoes, fishing boats, sail boats and pontoon boats are available for rent. The Tennis Center offers courts both indoor and outdoor, and a state-of-the-art fitness center is complete with weight training, cardiovascular machines, racket ball, and an indoor lap pool. Massage therapy and day-spa amenities are available. The Swim Club has activities for fun, exercise or just plain relaxation in the sun. A large pool and deck area have plenty of lounge chairs and tables located around the large pool (lifeguards on duty). The pool overlooks the beach and Lake Disharoon.

Things to do outside Big Canoe include: hiking at Amicalola Falls State Park and the Appalachian Trail, rafting, canoeing, horseback riding, biking, and shopping at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall.

Very well appointed and well decorated home. Plenty of room! Extremely comfortable bedding and linens. Our family of 5 enjoyed our time here. Would return!
