Southampton holiday cottage

100% as described - The grounds are PRIVATE, Immaculately groomed, Charming, and Perfectly furnished right down to the bottle of wine chilling on arrival. The owners thought of everything! We went for my husband's birthday. Having grown up on the Island and being gone for over 25 years he had his doubts about the accuracy of the listing. He was more than pleasantly surprised. The place is like a step back in time right in the middle of everything you could imagine. We pulled into the drive and drove out onto the little peninsula like grounds. The cottage sits on about 5 acres and just like in the pictures the flowers were blooming around the most glorious cottage. Within just a few minutes we were on the beach , exactly 20 steps from the back porch, with glasses of wine watching our son swim, looking across the water to the wild life preserve across the bay. By day we sunned, kayaked, dug clams, strolled along the beach and by night we barbequed our catch of the day and sat on the porch swing. After a couple of days we were ready for captivity. We then shopped at the great town just about 5 minutes away, had wonderful dinners out and even visited the local library, and pizzeria.(Oh, by the way the pizzeria delivers to the cottage!) Every room except the kitchen has a waterfront view, and the kitchen looks out onto the flowers and the completely private front lawn. There are only neighbors on one side. We flew into Islip airport and were at the cottage in less than two hours from when we landed. The location was perfect for us, one day we went out to Montauk Point to tour lighthouses and the next we went to Manhattan! Not much we could say would say it better than HEAVEN ON EARTH!
