Lake Arrowhead, wooded retreat with private beach and lake front dock/party deck within 8min walking distance to swim & play. aFully carpeted, master bedroom on downstairs level has fireplace/heater and 2 person jacuzzi tub for a romantic getaway. A spiral staircase takes you up to the loft bedroom which sleeps 5. A queen sofa sleeper is in front of fireplace on main level. Walk-in closet, cathedral ceilings, stainless steel appliances in kitchen w/lake and garden view, mood lighting with dimmers in many rooms. Private and serene in exclusive neighborhood, for important people who need to get away from it all. Full lake privileges. Only 1hr. 55 mins. from Los Angeles. You can commute to work! Please inquire about pet policy. Washer and dryer in home. Maid service available. Snow resistant spiral stairs, lead you down to this lovely home nestled in foliage. Expenses incurred during your stay will be deducted from the remaining balance of your Security Deposit.

    Payment in full is required no later than 30 days prior to the Tenant’s arrival date unless booked within 30 days. If cancellation is made at least 30 days prior to scheduled arrival, all monies will be refunded, less a $75.00 service charge. This service charge applies for all cancellations. Cancellation made less than 20 days prior to arrival may result in forfeiture of 25% of the entire rent, unless the property can be re-rented for an equal or greater amount. Cancellation made less than 10 days prior to arrival may result in forfeiture of 50% of the entire rent

Nice mountain getaway

We liked the place, it was clean and the lake was close-by. The swimming beach is special - not too many of those on Lake Arrowhead. The owners were very friendly and did their best to make our stay a nice experience.

One thing about the layout that I did not realize from the pictures was that the master bedroom is all the way downstairs, and all other beds are in the loft, two levels up. So, if you have small, scaredy-cat kids like ours, this does not work so well. Would be great for bringing teens & a pack of their friends though!

My favorite thing was the walking trail around the lake, with ever more beautiful views around each new corner. One caution though: I would not recommend this (or any other Arrowhead lakefront cottage for that matter) to anyone who has problems with their knees. There are a lot of stairs!
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Hope future renters get to experience our beautiful lakefront cabin as much as this one did.Yes,with mountains com grades, but it is a great workout, better than the gym! We love it, winter and summer!

I'd like to start by stating my intention here is not to slam anyone, but to make potential future renters aware of what they're walking in to. While it may be true this cabin is technically water front, the current view in no way reflects the photos apparently taken in winter. The cabin is seriously lacking the items listed, ie: beach chairs, cleaning agents, etc. We started the gas BBQ at 8pm at night and it was out of propane. There we were with steaks ready to go. You can only imagine our frustration. From the dog poop in the enclosed yard under the kitchen window to the the fish hook I stepped on in the living room, this would not be one of your cleaner cabins. The windows were filthy. The owner would be well advised to remove 75% of her personal belongings as it is overwhelmingly full of things EVERYWHERE. We truly felt in the way in some areas. There are no curtains in the loft so forget about one of the beds if you are in any way modest as this bed faces the street. The dock that comes with the house is far around the bend, certainly a 10 minute walk, and the private beach below is anything but as the locals take it over mid afternoon, and by locals, I mean people that you would be cautious to leave anything of value behind if you went for a swim. Between the dogs running loose and the vulgar language, not to mention the loud offensive music and alcohol, this is not the place to bring your children. Again, this is not retaliation of any kind. I just wish I had read this honest reflection of what I was bringing my family to for what was a very special, and expensive, weekend only to have it marred by the above.

we had a wonderful time

the master bedroom suite was better than a ritz-carlton hotel stay. it was beautiful. the views of the lake were wonderful. the antiques in the livingroom were charming. the kitchen was upscale model home quality. granite counters etc.. just the best. it was soooo quiet all day and all night with all windows open and a cool breeze. just a few steps down to the lake and you are on a lovely beach and lake trail.
the party dock was very new and large. we enjoyed reading, sunbathing and meditating there.
