The Hideaway, New Wing, part of a family compound on Martha's Vineyard with lots of outside space for games and summer barbecues. The New Wing can be rented separately or together with the Old Wing, privately set on the other side of the same structure. The beautiful Tashmoo Beach is 1 mile on a dirt road from the front door, perfect for a morning jog and a plunge into the clean brilliant water. An outside showers help you wash kids and toys sand-free after a long day at the beach. Close to Mink Meadows Golf, Vineyard Haven, shopping and entertainment, but still quiet, charming and roomy enough for everyone's enjoyment in an extended family.

The Vineyard haven Hideaway is located 1-1/2 mile outside the year-round town of Vineyard Haven. Vineyard Haven has is an attractive port town, with a small handful of boat building businesses still going strong at the waterfront. There are pleasant cafes, and restaurants with world class gourmet dining. An old fashioned movie theatre, as well as two live theatres, keep entertainment at the cutting edge, all year round. Interesting boutiques and gift shops line Main Street. The secluded, beautiful, Tashmoo Beach, is only 1-1/2 mile in the opposite direction. On the walk there, through the forest, on a dirt road, you will pass Wilfred's Pond, where a plain wooden bench is set up for the interested bird observer. Mink Meadow Golf, is abutting the the back roads in the same area.

Notes: The Hideaway consists of two units in the same 100' long structure. The two units have fencing and screening to separate them from each other, but they are close enough to work wonderful for extended families or two to three families that would like to vacation together. There is a small managers unit within the same structurer, but it is separated with fencing and planting to create maximum privacy. Close by, is a third unit for rent, which allows a larger family to include everyone, up to 20-22 people. The property as a whole works great for hosting your wedding guests comfortably at a very reasonable price per person. There is plenty of outside space for play and recreation at each unit, and also common space where kids can meet and play together.

This property has a wonderful layout, plenty of space and really has a home feeling to it. I went with a group of people and everyone commented on how clean and bright all the rooms were. I especially like that there was a bathroom per 2 bedrooms.
Owner's Response: Our reward is the appreciation of our guests. We love to see you happy here. Thank you for letting us know. The bathroom ratio is actually 4 bedrooms to 3 baths, in they New Wing and 3 bedrooms to 2 baths, in the Old Wing.
