Photos and Description of this Blairsville holiday cabin 3 Bdrm/2Bath Cabin - Sleeps 8

The cabin was custom built in 1994 from 150 year old hand notched Cypress logs (it was not made from a kit) and has kitchen cabinets with old-fashioned tin punch panels like those in a pie safe. It sleeps 8 - it has three bedrooms (one with a queen, one with twin beds and a loft with a brass double bed), a queen sleeper sofa, and two full bathrooms. Don't let the country decor fool you. Every amenity is provided, including linens, dishes, TV/VCR/DVD, a fully equipped kitchen and dining room, washer and dryer, central heat and air and a warm fireplace. Serenity is on the back screened-in porch for you while you're sitting in your rocker or swing taking in the fantastic view. For dining out, there is a plethora of restaurants ranging from fine dining to down-home country cookin'.

This log cabin is absolutely unique. It sits high atop a small mountain just outside of Blairsville, Georgia. Nearby you'll find rugged white water rafting and relaxing golf. Try Vogel State Park or the Appalachian Trail for hiking. The beauty of the waterfalls, located minutes away, is world renowned. Boating, fishing, bowling, cinemas, horseback riding, and gem mining are within easy driving distance - as are picturesque Helen, Georgia and Highlands, North Carolina. Don't pass up a visit to Brasstown Bald Mountain - at 4784 ft the highest point in Georgia - where you'll see four states at once.

Wow..How lucky we were...

When I first stepped into the cabin my first thought was I was in a fairy tale. It reminded me of an enchanted cabin. The decor was fantastic. We felt so welcome staying in someone else's home. We just came from another cabin in Tenn and we liked this one so much better. We only wished we had more time to visit. The back porch had a fanstatic view of the mountains. At night,we played backgammon and drank hot chocolate on the back porch. The peace and quiet was exactly what we needed.The night sky was lit up with stars that I don't usually see where I live. Everything from the sparkling fireplace to the nice and cozy bed we loved it all. We plan on coming back for another visit when time allowed. I already have 2 other friends who are interested in staying in that cabin. We felt so lucky to have this wonderful holiday experiance. The owners were friendly and helpful.
