Photos and Description of this Halifax holiday house

This home is situated on a half acre lot within the city limits and offers a lovely lake view with a large swimming pool in the backyard. The living area on the main level of the house has an open concept with a beautiful angelstone fireplace occupying one full length of the living room. There are three bedrooms on the main level and one full bath with a two person whirlpool tub. The large kitchen has pine floors and ample room to entertain while preparing meals. The dining room opens onto a deck (barbecue) with steps down to a beautiful pool. All of this with the added bonus of paddling a canoe or rowboat on the lake in the early morning or during a fantastic sunset. The downstairs area of the house has its own bedroom and large bathroom. There is also a large living room equipped with a huge beach stone fireplace. This gives privacy to another couple or older children.

Location: Halifax in Canada

This home is located in Dartmouth which is just across the bridge from the city of Halifax. The drive to the downtown core would be about 20 minutes. Founded in 1749, Halifax is rich with history. Many of the waterfront buildings have been restored to the time of the Privateers and boast wonderful shops and restaurants. The Halifax waterfront is a bustling spot with many outdoor cafes, lovely harbour views and popular casino nightlife. The summer months offer many festivals such as the annual Busker Festival. This year the Tall Ships will visit. There are many tours of the harbour offered, and if the Bluenose is in town they offer sailing tours as well. Halifax is within an hours drive of the lovely Annapolis Valley, the historic towns of Chester and Lunenburg on the south shore and a about a 40 minute drive to Peggys Cove.
