Enjoy our charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath waterfront cottage located in Governor's Harbour on historic Cupid's Cay, the oldest settlement in The Bahamas. On a quiet cul-de-sac, the cottage was recently renovated top to bottom, inside and out. Enjoy the breathtaking Caribbean views, spectacular sunsets and dolphin sightings from the 12x42 foot porch located approximately 50 feet from the water. The porch is furnished with chairs, chaise lounges, hammock and hammock/swings, dining furniture and a charcoal BBQ grill. Enjoy the seabreezes while sipping your favorite cocktail. Wander down the winding path, through the seawall gate, to edge of the coral. Great fishing! Enjoy! Inside the cottage a large, bright open floorplan includes a well-equipped kitchen with washing machine. There is phone service. You can make local calls (the entire island) and receive calls from anywhere, but long distance calls require a calling card from the local telephone company.

The people on Cupid's Cay are warm, friendly and very helpful when visitors need assistance or answers to any questions. It is a short walk to the Friday night fish fry just across the causeway at Anchor Bay. A little further down the road are groceries, liquor stores, gift shops, gas stations, movie theatre, restaurants, library, churches, etc. One of the great features of vacationing on Eleuthera is that there are so many beach options. All the beaches are public, with the Atlantic on one side and the Caribbean on the other. The island is less than a mile wide at Governor's Harbour so you can walk or drive to many beaches in a very short time. It is not unusual to walk for miles on a pink, sandy beach seeing no one. Bring your snorkeling equipment! Though Governor's Harbour Airport (GHB) is the most convenient to the cottage, there are 2 other airports on the island. North Eleuthera (ELH) is an hour drive ($70 taxi ride) and Rock Sound, which is nearly as far.

  • $1800/week. Xmas New Year's weeks - $3000/week, 15% discount on 3 + consecutive weeks.
  • $1800/week for up to the maximum of 6 people. Xmas and New Year's weeks are $3000/week, when available.

    There is a 15% discount for stays of 3 or more consecutive weeks.

    30% off for Sept.1 through Dec. 15 with a minimum stay of 7 nights or more (all other discounts not applicable).

    A $400 refundable security deposit plus 50% of the rental fee is required to secure your reservation. The balance is required at least one week before your arrival on the island.
  • New rental rates are as of November 1, 2007. We have added a new bedroom, bathroom, porch extension and pantry.

The living and dining areas have windows all around to catch the ever present breeze. Slider to the porch affords a wonderful vista from the kitchen while preparing meals. Ceiling fans in the living/dining areas. The new, first floor bedroom has sliders to the porch, large windows for ventilation, a queen bed that converts into 2 singles and ceiling fan. There is also an new full bath on the first floor. The second floor features 2 bedrooms with ceiling fans and A/C, a full bathroom with shower. Every window has a water view. The bedrooms are each equipped with a queen size bed, linens, dressers, hanging space for clothes, etc. The cottage can sleep a maximum of 6 people.

We had an absolutely incredible week at this house!!! Larry and Dan have created a relaxing, homey, whimsical retreat, stocked with absolutely anything you could possibly need, from beach gear to cooking equipment, and everything in between. The porch is just a gem -- the perfect place for morning coffee, late afternoon naps, sunsets, dinners alfresco. Our group of 6 fit very comfortably in the house, which is great for entertaining. It's central location in GHB made it a great place for exploring beaches and other day trips. Eleuthera is a gorgeous place, made all the better by this great house with beautiful views!

Larry, Dan & Lisa, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. The work that you have put into the place is evident in every detail. After weeks of waiting to get to that deck, we finally made it, and spent plenty of time out there, listening to the waves, swinging in the hammock and using the outdoor shower. The people on the island were so friendly and helpful, and the beaches were unbelievably beautiful. We were able to explore the entire island. It was a family adventure that we will never forget - thanks for helping us realize it!
