Beautiful, elegant and comfortable home on large property, less than 2 miles to Tanglewood's main gate and walking distance to the stores and restaurants in Lenox Village where you can shop for antiques, browse wonderful art galleries, and dine in great restaurants. Great for a family, a romantic getaway or a reunion of friends. Close to Tanglewood and other cultural venues. Wonderful museums, nature trails, health spas, and other great activities. The only thing stopping you will be the front porch. Once you sit down to relax there, you may never want to leave! Other amenities: Full-sized dining room, living room with baby grand piano, Internet/DSL/Computer, antiques, sitting room with cable television and DVD player; large eat-in kitchen, four bedrooms upstairs. One queen-sized bed, one full-sized, 2 sets of twins. No Smoking

Elegantly appointed, conveniently located, and clean! The home serves well whether you're using it as a base between excursions, or whiling away a rainy day, playing scrabble in the dining room. Also, the owner is a most gracious hostess.

Wonderful Weekday or Weekend Getaway Vacation Home

The house is charming -- and more importantly, it was clean and well-maintained. It was perfect for my group of friends, but would work well for a family or a romantic getaway, too. We chose the home because of its proximity to Tanglewood, museums and spas (and was an equally easy drive from everyone's home) -- but it turned out that what we all loved most about our stay was just walking about the town, stopping and chatting with store owners and people we met along the street as we walked, or sitting on the porch and enjoying the neighborhood (although it was nice to have lots of fallback options if the weather hadn't been so lovely). We hadn't quite left town when we began planning our next stay -- and thinking how nice it would be to come next time at a different season (e.g., fall, perhaps, for the foliage). I would definitely recommend this property to a friend -- and return here on vacation.

When I pulled up to the house I checked the address twice, yep, this is the place,which made me very happy such an inviting home. Such a great wrap around front porch, the exterior charm is from a time that was much simpler,As soon as I entered it I expected to find a homestyle breakfast cooking in the kitchen!! Such a warm feeling,all of the rooms flowed one into the other giving a feeling of freedom , a bathroom with a claw foot bathtub,I can feel the love and pride the previous owner had for this home, for an artist, family,or any one needing a "Home away from home" experience I can't think of a better place to have it!!! It kinda reminds me of the phrase, "If you build it , they will come" from the movie "Feild of dreams",they did build it, I came, and would love to come again!!!

This is a lovely home, very clean. Sleeping and dining arrangements are ample. Kitchen is fairly well stocked. Major drawback is common spaces - sitting room and living room - are not terribly comfortable and do not accomodate a full house. (We were a family of five and found it difficult to gather to watch a movie.) Greatest feature is proximity - walk to town of Lenox and central to all the Berkshires has to offer.

First Rate Rental Experience!

We enjoyed our stay in this home immensely. There were five of us: my husband, myself, 2 kids (ages 9 & 6) and my mother. We were all quite comfortable in this VERY CLEAN lovely older home. The pictures on the website are a very fair representation.There was plenty of soap, toilet paper, paper towels and laundry detergent provided. There is a cooler, picnic basket, sheets to use on the ground and camp chairs (perfect for the lawn at Tanglewood). In addition to the piano, there are many books and a few games. There are also power strips for plugging in cell phone and iPod chargers. The house has a computer, and we were easily able to access the WiFi with the laptop we brought from home. There is a TV with a DVD player -- but no cable or satellite hookup (didn't bother us). We all enjoyed the porch and the kids liked playing in the yard.

The house is located on a nice quiet street close to the center of Lenox. It was also within a few minutes' drive of a supermarket. This was also an ideal spot for reaching other destinations in the Berkshires.

People with mobility issues should be aware that the full bath is upstairs and has a claw-foot tub.
