Will I view the water or a docked boat?: Your view will consist of only the waterway and the greenery around you, rather than the neighbors next door - often a detriment at other vacation rentals! You can relax on the lanai and watch the boats as they lazily putt their way to the Gulf of Mexico. There is nothing to impede your uninterrupted water view. The dock and the boat are located at the far right corner side of the property.

What kind of sun exposure does the Lanai get?: Since this is a tip lot, the back yard has both southern and western exposures, meaning you can enjoy the sun virtually all day long. Although the location of the lanai, the yard, and the dock can accommodate the sun seeker, it also offers shelter for those who need a break. If you want some shelter from the sun, but still want to enjoy the outdoors, you could choose to relax in the shaded gazebo, or at the seating area for 6 situated under an overhang on the lanai.

How far is it to restaurants & shopping?: Although the house is located at the end of a private cul-de-sac, there are close to a dozen fine and casual restaurants within easy walking distance of the property. The famed Esplanade with its multitude of shopping and eating venues is a comfortable 5 minutes away.

What's not to love with this pretty home and awesome location. This home is close to the beach, grocery stores, shopping and great food. The house is spacious, clean, and has a beautiful view. Our family of four, and grandma enjoyed our stay. There are 4 bikes available, however they were adult size, so my two daughters (age11 & 7) were not quite tall enough to ride. In all, great time.

Great location, great view, but.......

This property is in a great location, close to everything you need. The view from the lanai is beautiful. A great place to sit and watch the sun come up with a morning coffee. The house is well equipped with all the amenities but some are old and tired and do not work well anymore.
The whole house needs some sprucing up. A paint job would do it wonders inside and out. There were many places that had chipping and water stained paint. Also some signs of water damage on bathroom walls. The whole house needed dusting and vacuuming. It seemed as though there hadn't been anyone there for a while. The screen door going from the lanai to the yard is missing a catch so we found many lizzards and bugs getting into the pool area. Calling the owner was costly because the phone was blocked from long distance calls. Roaming costs on a cell phone originating in Canada are very expensive.
With some tender loving care this would be an ideal vacation place but as it is, not worth the money we paid.
Owner's Response: I am glad you enjoyed the location and view as much as I have. Being within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping is always an advantage when on vacation and sighting manatees and dolphin in the backyard are a plus. Some Floridian wildlife can be quite disconcerting for visitors, such as the geckoes which are another part of the natural landscape. I keep a routine maintenance schedule, such as making the minor adjustment to the screen door. The rugs have been and continue to be professionally cleaned twice a year and the most respected cleaning service on the island conducts a thorough sanitizing after every visit. Painting is done on a routine basis as well. Other tenants have summed up this rental as "Great house, Great Views, Great Location".

I have rented this house for the last two years with my family. It is wonderful, the view is spectacular and Marco is a special place. Mark is very easy and professional to work with. Thank you Mark for another great year.
