Welcome to Marco Island, Florida! Many people call Marco Island the best kept secret in Florida. You'll love this house and it's location on this Island paradise. The house is built in a Mediterranean courtyard-style, with a one bedroom guesthouse and three bedroom main villa. The pool and spa are located in the courtyard, which receives Florida sunshine most of the day. The guesthouse has a wet bar and full bath. The main villa has 2 1/2 bathes, a huge kitchen with entertainment center, and a large family room looking out over a large waterway. Five TVs and VCR/DVD combos are available for your use, and there's pool and beach toys, as well as a beach cart and rollered cooler for your trips to the beach. Speaking of the beach, this house is just a five minute walk (3 blocks) from Marco's famous beach, at the south beach access. Plop yourself down in the sand and go for a stroll or a swim.

Had a wonderful vacation!!!

We took our whole family to Marco Island to celebrate our 5oth anniversary. We had a total of 9 people with the youngest age 4 and the oldest 75. The kids like the swimming pool and had plenty of room to play with getting in the way of others.

When we walked in the house was immaculate, well maintained, with wondeerful amenities. The Mediteranean style with high celings and wonderful furnishings made it look gorgeous.
We were only 3 blocks from a public beach with wonderful white sand and warm water. The owner called a day after we arrived to make sure that everything was as advertised and to see if we had any questions. The instructions on the refrigerator and in the bedroom for the operation of the pool heater and pump were well written and clear.
The extras of a beach cooler on wheels, lots of sand toys including flippers, and 3 beach shairs that fit on a cart were greatly appreciated and made our trip to the beach much easier.
We ate breakfast quite often on the screened porch overlooking the canal. Everyday we saw a Manatee or a Dolphin or both in the canal. What a thrill. To see more be sure and make the drive to Everglades City and take a boat ride. Also be sure and go to the Audabon Sanctuary. It is worth the trip.
The whole family keeps asking when we are going back. It was a wonderful week with good company and good food.

2 weeks in July at Marco Island 2009

This house was amazing! This was a special trip for my whole extended family and we were in heaven! Everyone ranging from their 60's down to my 4 year-old loved the amenities of the house and the nearby activities. My sons loved the bunk room, and it was perfect for me to be in the adjacent room. The king suite and "La Casita" were perfectly placed in the house so that we all had our private time and space when needed.

The kitchen gave us all the ability to cook together without bumping elbows, and it was stocked with everything you could need to make gormet meals every night! As die hard Italians, we even made our Sunday Dinner for 8 adults and 3 kids without a hitch and ate comfortably in the dining room!

Thanks Jeff for such a wonderful vacation spot! I'm getting some friends of mine to do it with me next year! The obvious care you have taken in making the house feel like home comes through as soon as you walk in the door! My kids were in the pool everyday, and I just can't put into words what a wonderful time our family had!

My only question is how could you have such a beautiful house in such a great location and not want to live there year round?!

To the public... Rent This House! No matter how many pictures you see of this house, you will still be blown away when you see it in person!

We stayed at this house from 8-2 to 8-9. We had a great time. The house was everything it said it was and more. We had enough room for everyone to spread out and do their own thing. We had 8 people and the guys were fishing everyday and catching all types of fish. I think they caught 7 different kinds. We saw the manatees and dolphins and got lots of pictures. We walked to the beach everyday with the beach chairs and cooler and it was very convenient. We ran into one small problem and just thought I would bring it up in case it would affect anyone else. The bedroom with the bunk beds has no door. You have to walk through that bedroom to get to the guest queen room. The two boys we had sleeping in there were 17 years old and liked to stay up late and sleep in and with no door they heard all the noise down stairs when everyone was in the kitchen. We made due but it was an issue for them in the beginning--just wanted to give a heads up. On another note, it was a great house and we would stay there again. You can't get too much closer to the beach without staying in a hotel or condo.

From the moment we walked through the door, our party of 8 (ranging in age from 83 to 6) had a lovely time. This home is decorated superbly inside and out and there is PLENTY of room to spread out; the pictures don’t do it justice. The courtyard area with its pool and hot tub was a big hit with everyone as well as the lanai that overlooked the canal. We sighted manatee almost every day and dolphin a few times. We also enjoyed watching an
Osprey eat his/her fresh catch every day on a boat on the other side of the canal.

The off season in Marco is pretty awesome. The weather was good, no waiting at any restaurants and the beaches were not crowded. We spent most of our time on the nearby public beach (3 blocks from the house), but did venture over to Tiger Tail Beach – we had a great time! Kudos to: Paradise Seafood Market (located on Bald Eagle) for their excellent seafood (which we grilled at the house) and Capt. Jeff Dawson who took my husband and son out for a great day of scuba diving.

Finally, our thanks to Jeff for being such a terrific host.

Comment Text: This lovely home on Marco Island was all we expected and more. The
pictures and descriptions do not do it justice!! This was a new experience for us
and we were a bit apprehensive. But all our fears melted away the moment we
arrived. The layout of the home is superb. The lanai was a great place for quiet
relaxation anytime, day or night, with a tranquil view of the wide waterway. The
courtyard/pool/spa area is very roomy with privacy and not a closed-in feeling.
The plants add a nice touch as do the lion-head fountains. All the bedrooms were
comfortable,clean and spacious. There were plenty of windows to enjoy the
Florida sunshine. We had a party of eight in the house and were accomodated very
easily and comfortably. Mealtimes were pleasant as there was plenty of space and
equipment. The beach is a nice,not too long walk(about 3 blocks)with easy
direct access onto a beautiful white sand beach and the Gulf of Mexico.
Spectacular sunsets are a main attraction and we felt safe walking after dark.
If you are looking for a relaxing,laid back family experience this is it!! We
have secured our reservation for 2009 and highly recommend renting from this
owner. He is a wonderful host and we are happy we found this lovely place. I
researched MANY properties and this location has it ALL! Our 3
children(14,6&4)also enjoyed this area. There are many things to see and do,
although we were all happy just relaxing at the pool and beach. The location of
the house is very easy to make your way around from, walking or driving. It was
a lovely vacation and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for
quality,comfort,convenience and relaxation!! Thank you Jeff!
