Nearest Airport: Melbourne International Airport at 60 Miles
Car: recommended
Within walking distance are the Vero Beach Museum of Art, and the Riverside Theater for live productions. The Museum of Art offers workshops in painting, drawing, sculpture and ceramics. A park for picnicking, jogging and exercise is near the museum and theater. On Ocean Drive, one block from the house, are many shops and restaurants. Oceanside parks and a boardwalk are within a 20-minute walk from the house. By car, a major shopping center and a collection of brand-name discount stores can be reached. Disney World is about 2 hours away by car. Cape Canaveral is 2 to 3 hours away. Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, The Everglades, and Tampa are each 3 to 4 hours.
