Clear Creek Cove is a easy-going ranch-style home overlooking beautiful Inks Lake, the Jewel of the Highland Lakes, just an hour's drive from Austin in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Located near the Vanishing Texas River Cruise, Enchanted Rock, LBJ's Home and Ranch, Exotic Resort Zoo, Inks Lake State Park, Inks Golf Course, Longhorn Caverns, Inks Fish Hatchery, and several vineyards, there are lots of things to do nearby if you want to explore. On site, though, you'll find a spacious 3 bedroom 3 bath home stocked with games, movies, TV with satellite, and plenty of room to relax even on stormy days. The expansive tree-covered lawn on an acre with 265 feet of waterfront has plenty of room for volleyball, football, tag or just relaxing and picnicking under the giant oaks, swimming in the lake, fishing the shoreline, and soaking in the gorgeous views from our big covered porch. It's fun for the whole family, or a relaxing getaway for couples.

Golf Courses Nearby: Across the cove to the left or about a mile by car is the Inks Lake State Park Golf Course with 9 holes and several water challenges. In Burnet 11 miles away is the notable Delaware Springs Course. Kingsland has 2 courses about 12 miles away, and Horseshoe Bay has 3 superb courses within its confines. See Central Texas Scenic Day Loop: On longer visits, you might enjoy this beautiful drive through the Hill Country, sampling some of the local foods like the German specialties in Fredericksburg, fresh peaches and produce in Stonewall, as well as a couple of wineries nearby, and ending your day at one of the fine restaurants in Marble Falls. Head west on 71 to Llano, turn south onto 16, and follow the sign to Enchanted Rock State Park, where you can take a morning hike on the granite monolith for a view of the surrounding hills. Turn right and head into Fredericksburg for a little history and shopping, and a great lunch. Then go east on Hwy 290, stopping in Stonewall, again for the LBJ Ranch Nat'l Park, and in Johnson City for the LBJ Boyhood Home. Magnificient museums! Go north on Hwy 281 to Marble Falls for dinner, north again to Burnet, and turn west/left on 29 to head back to your lakehouse. Have Fun!

We Came Back Again!

Our second visit to Clear Creek in August was just as great as the first. Everything you need is there from the boat ramp, to swiming, to a play area for the kids and a great view of the lake. The house has everyting you need and more. Thanks for making this vacation spot available for us. We will definitely conintue to keep this as one of our family vacation spots and will highly recommend it to all.

My birthday weekend

Wow...what a beautiful property. You know, I always dreaded vacationing in central Texas in the summer, because of the extreme heat. Even when it hit 100 during our weekend, however, being right next to the lake somehow made it seem cooler...plus, if you get warm, you can just jump in! The yard had plenty of shade, and the house was cool and inviting. The fishing was fun, and the kids pulled in plenty of sunnies and catfish right from the shore. The best part was the "dog friendly" aspect of this property. The house was spotless, and well looked after. The dogs had their first true vacation, and I don't know if we'll ever be able to vacation without them again! Thanks to you Marsha, for the opportunity to share our time with our angels! This was one of my best birthdays ever.

Relaxing!

Our family gathering was a great success ~ the lakehouse was perfect for our needs being large enough for the comfort of everyone. Huge back yard (shaded with oak trees) that went to the water. The fishing was great too!

We're looking forward to a return visit!

Great get-away

We had a family gathering and a wonderful time at this lovely home. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch and letting the kids run around in the back. It was very clean and they had everything we needed for cooking large family meals and toys for the kids too play with. The water was beautiful and the nice large windows to enjoy it. We will stay there again!
Owner's Response: This is a great place for family gatherings! Everybody can be together all the time if they like, but there's plenty of space indoors and outside for quiet talks or moments of solitude.

Great weekend get away

Our family had a great time at our weekend get away. 3-5 Apr 09. It was a great memory builder prior to my son's departure to Iraq. It was convenient to have a boat ramp there on the property. Didn't have too much luck fishing on our weekend but look forward to going back again. It was worth every penny of the rental cost.
