On the sand! Enjoy the waterfront view and beautiful flowers at our private home on Hawk's Nest Beach in Old Lyme, CT. One rental side of our duplex includes kitchen, pantry, living room with fireplace and screened-in porch on the first floor, and 3 bedrooms (2 doubles, 2 twins) and bathroom on the second floor (master bedroom has views of the ocean). Or rent both sides and have another three bedrooms, bathroom, etc .Enjoy the ocean breeze from the deck and patio, or step a few feet farther onto the sand. Plenty of beachfront for your boat, jet ski, etc. Just 4-5 miles from I-95 off of Route 156, on dead-end street. Inquiries welcome - we will be reserving times for Summer 2007 in late January. Well mannered dogs allowed.

This location is ideal for walks along both the beach and the street. Very private, friendly atmosphere. Home is convenient to golf courses, jet skiing, restaurants, antiquing, entertainment and shopping depending on your interests. See nesting osprey to the north, and the lights of Orient Point lighthouse and Plum Island to the south, the Old Saybrook lighthouse to the west and New London lighthouse to the east. Beach association offers children's activities (movie nights, painting, scavenger hunts, July 4th parade, etc.) and beach general store (close walking distance) is a fun place for both kids and kids-at-heart, as well as a source for the daily paper and the basics. Tennis courts are open for use at the end of the street and bike riding is a popular pastime. Famous Sound View donuts are a mile or so away, or can be purchased at your doorstep from baskets brought around by local children.
