Totally charming and well-maintained, this cozy cottage is in a wonderful lakefront setting with 300 feet of shoreline outside your door. With a substantial dock, clean beach, and a concrete boat ramp, you can enjoy this spring-fed natural lake. The cottage's interior boasts hand-finished tongue and groove pine paneling, and every room has a view of Miles Kale Lake!! A breezy screened porch overlooks this special place as well. This sand-bottom lake is clean and wonderful for fishing, swimming, and boating. Our whole family learned to ski here. Exactly half-way between Ocala and Gainesville, you can be in either city or Palatka in 30 minutes for dining, shopping, entertainment, cultural events, or health care. Or, drive 55 minutes to Daytona Beach, or less than 2 hours to Disney attractions. This serene setting is for those who like to be close to nature with the advantages of cities nearby. Great summertime place for the family - you commute to Gainesville or Ocala.

Notes: There is 1 queen sized, excellent pillow-top bed in the master bedroom. There are 2 twin beds with brand-new pillow-top mattresses and 1 sofa sleeper in the huge den. Washer and dryer added in 2005. Breezy screened porch, excellent swimming and fishing dock, concrete boat ramp, spring-fed, natural lake, rivers nearby for kayaking, Ocala national Forest for hiking (Visitor's Center at intersection of Hwy 315 & Hwy 40 near Silver Springs), fishing, hunting and swimming. Cultural and educational events at the University of Florida or Central Florida.

Fantastic winter haven from the frigid north!! Wonderful Central Florida retreat for retired couples or family who are sick of go-go attractions. Centrally located: this wonderful lake home is centrally located between Ocala, Gainesville, and Palatka, Florida. it is one mile from the intersection of Marion County Roads 318 and 315.

We rented the house for too weeks and were very happy with the house.nice setting close enough to be far enough
away from work.
there was a lot to see and do around that aerea alot of springs to swim in some good places to go biking around eg palatka welaka silver springs.
the owner was very helpful and his cleaner was heplful too
Recommended for:  Romantic Getaway, Age 55+, Sightseeing, Adventure Seekers

We stayed in this cottage for one week
this June and had a wonderful time, everything was very clean and Mr Wynne is very nice, if you have the chance check out all the springs in the area good place for snorkeling. Anja

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay at the cottage for this past weekend. It was so relaxing that we thought we had lost our pulses. We did a lot of fishing of the dock but did not catch too much. Everything was cozy and well maintained. We can't wait to go back and hopefully will soon.

We spent 3 nights at the cottage over Memorial weekend. What a wonderful place to go to relax and have fun. The cottage is so cozy with a rustic feel yet it still has all of the amenities anyone could want. We had a blast fishing, swimming in the lake and enjoying beautiful sunrises & sunsets. My husband & I caught some speckled perch & about 14 bass ranging from 2-5 pounds right off of the dock! The cottage, the grounds, the dock & the lake are all excellently maintained. The owner, Mr. Wynne, is wonderful. He is so very accommodating and gracious to his guests. I would highly recommend this cottage get away to anyone!

My brother has turned our family retreat into a wonderful, comfortable place for people to enjoy central Florida's forests, lakes, and rivers. The infratructure improvements give rustic charm all the finishing touches of convenience. My family can really enjoy the place now. Trips to Salt Springs, the Oklawaha River, and the Ocala National Forest are recommended. I have suggested he add a washer and dryer to the property, which he plans to do soon.
