Warmth is provided by electric cadet heaters (main great room heater is on thermostat - others are area cadets). River rock wood burning fireplace. We do not provide firewood. Firewood is available for sale from local stores. Listen to the soothing sounds of the river, bask in the warmth of the river rock fireplace, cozy up on the overstuffed chairs and couch and enjoy living on relaxing 'mountain time.' Great Mount Hood Cabin

We were first drawn to the cabin by the Internet Web site and the photos. To say we weren't disappointed is to put it mildly. The River, the old growth trees, the very, very charming 1945 cabin.... it was all there. And so were we and we will be back.

This Place Is Amazing!

This place is amazing. To wake up every morning and see all the trees surrounding us. To hear the river down below us. I wish this was my back yard.

My 2 year old loved to go around outside and down the trail to the river. He had a good time especially outside and upstairs in the loft. He said it was really neat. Thanks for having extra toys in the treasure chest.

My 6 month old was amazed by his surroundings. He loved to look out the windows and see all the trees and nature. He loved the cabin the most. The different animal racks on the wall and the wagon wheel definitely kept him interested.

We had a wonderful stay but too short. J&K

Perfect Cabin

The cabin is completely charming and beautiful. This 1945 log cabin was delightful and full of extra touches to make it homely and lovely at the same time. With river rock fireplace, wood floors everywhere, hot tub on the deck it was a wonderland that we got lost in.

The river is beautiful; the sound of the river thoroughly relaxing.

Having stayed at several places on the mountain, I must say this is the best!
