Twelve Palms- A spacious, 3-bedroom and 2 bath canal-front home situated on a double lot in secluded 'Doctors Arm' peninsula of Big Pine Key. The deep water swimming canal provides easy access to the Gulf, Bogie Channel and the Ocean. Pull your boat up to the 60' concrete dock, equipped with water, electric, and a convenient fish-cleaning station. Escape to the rooftop 'widows walk' for private sunbathing. Don't miss the inspiring sunrises and breathtaking sunsets over panoramic views of the bay and the wildlife refuge! Relax in the shade of the outdoor patio, complete with plenty of lawn furniture. The patio houses a whimsical neon-lighted Fish bar for your entertaining pleasure. Lovely palm trees provide added privacy. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed and lots of closet space. One futon couch in the living room convert to a double bed for additional sleeping. The kitchen is well equipped.

Make a short boat trip to famous Looe Key Marine preserve for a day of fantastic snorkeling and diving. The spear fishing in the local waters is also very good. Visit nearby Bahia Honda State Park and play on one of the areas most beautiful beaches. Take advantage of the convenient marina that offers a boat ramp, fuel, bait, tackle and boat rentals. Visit the world famous No Name Pub within walking distance of the house for one of their wonderful pizza's. Enjoy the islands other local bars, restaurants, and shopping plaza (that has a large grocery store and video rental shop) or drive just 30 miles to Key West for a wide variety of shopping and entertainment. This lovely home is just across the street from the Blue Heron & Key Deer Wildlife Refuge, and provides a quiet location to enjoy leisure walks or jogging.

This will be our 3rd year to rent this property for our Summer family vacation. All the amenities make you feel like this could be your home away from home.
Bring your Boat, Dive Gear, Fishing Rods, make a quick stop at the grocery store and you're ready to "chill". The house is located in a neighborhood that is peaceful, rooms clean and spacious - views spectacular with Key Deer roaming everywhere.

A little piece of heaven...

It was even more beautiful than expected. The very large upstair bedroom had stairs that took you to a rooftop deck. Perfect to watch the sunset or sunrise with a cold beer or cup of coffee. With water access right outside the back door we hopped on our boat and in minutes were snorkeling and enjoying the crystal clear water. We even caught a few lobsters and enjoyed them that night. Nice little pubs and places to eat close by and Key West is a short trip down the road.Yet you feel like its your own private island. The Fish Bar is the best part. Its a open air patio/ bar located under the main house with views of the key deer out the front and the canal out back with palm trees to the left. Even if it is raining (which never happens it seems) you and 30 of your closest friend can party of relax under the cover of the Fish Bar. Bottom line...this place is the perfect mix for what ever it is you came to the keys for. If you want to have a great time and live it up this is the place. If you want a peaceful relaxing time, this is the place. If you want adventure during the day and a quiet night, this is the place. If you want adventure at night and a quiet sleep in morning, this is the place. I will be counting the seconds till I am able to get back there.... you will to. Trust me.

We are repeat visitors of 12 Palms because of the perfect Keys accomidations. The property is large, clean, and well maintained. Love the big side yard of boat trailer storage and great canal for easy access to Bay or Ocean to go Lobstering and diving. This vacation home is very well recommended by us to rent for your next vacation to the beautiful Keys!

Peaceful relaxation

My wife and I, three kids and dog stayed for spring break 2008. The property was exactly as advertised. It is in a VERY peaceful area of Big Pine Key - saw several deer within blocks of the property. No Name Pub is close by - fantastic pizza - and there are families of deer wandering around between the property and the pub. We especially liked the proximity to Bahia Honda state park, and relative proximity to Key West - not too close, but close enough!

Owner very easy to deal with and we would happily stay there again.

We love 12 palms and are planning our 4th trip. The home is very clean, well equipped, beautifully decorated, and lovingly maintained. This is the best rental home we have ever found, anywhere in the world. It's a boaters dream with easy access to the ocean and the gulf. Located next to the Key Deer Preserve, you see deer daily. The rooftop sunsets are the a perfect way to end the day. The owner always calls to check that everything is ok. Key West is just half an hour away if you need nightlife. There are a handfull of eating and drinking establishments close to the house. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to get away and relax.
