The house is situated on the edge of the Subbetica (natural Park) which encourages lots of wildlife around the Iznajar lake and surrounding area such as birds and deer.
Pony trekking is available locally where treks are available from one hour to several days. Pony trekking is also available at Lobo Park Antequera where conservation and breeding programmes for wolves and other canine species can be observed.
There is a waterpark in Granada.
Bird watching and walking are popular pastimes and the lake at Fuente de Piedra with the only breeding residential colony of flamingos in Europe is a short drive away.
The house is well positioned for exploring the history of Andalucia. Granada (for the Alhambra), Cordoba, Antequera and Seville are all within easy reach by car and are of historical interest. Many of the smaller white walled towns and villages are also of interest such as Iznajar, Ronda and Priego de Cordoba.

Iznajar Lake:
The Lake is very large and offers opportunities for fishing, sailing, windsurfing and swimming. It also has a beach. The area is ideal for walking, bird watching and cycling. The views are far reaching and breathtaking across the olive groves and the valley to the villages in the distance.
Ski:
Skiing is available in season in the Sierra Nevada mountains about hour from the house
Golf:
Golf is available in Antequerra 40 minutes from the house
