Come & Enjoy our spacious log home on quiet Devereaux Lake! Our lakeside cabin comfortably sleeps 10 with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The home features an upstairs master suite with queen bed (and baby crib), two downstairs bedrooms (one with queen, other with two twin beds), and a loft with a double-sized futon. The living room has a queen sized hide-a-bed too! Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen, plus washer/dryer with complimentary use of soap/ dryer sheets. Outdoors, enjoy our sandy beach with nice swimming and fishing, spacious yard with sand court for volleyball or badminton, hard surface basketball court and the two fire pits plus BBQ grill. You will have lots of family fun close to all that northern Michigan has to offer. We furnish all linens, towels, and initial paper products. Well-trained dogs allowed. Available year-round.

Enjoy our private sand beach, swimming, and fishing at no-motor Devereaux Lake. The home is convenient to many northern Michigan attractions. Boat the inland waterway, over 45 miles of lakes and rivers stretching to Lake Huron. Fish and boat on huge Mullett Lake (public launch 1 mile fm the cabin), Black Lake (5 miles), Burt Lake (20 minutes), or Lake Huron (15 minutes). Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island ferry are only 30 minutes away. Black Mountain recreation area is just minutes away (hiking, ATV trails). Many golf courses are within an easy drive. In the Fall, relax and enjoy the beautiful changing colors of northern Michigan. In winter, snowmobile miles of trails (main trail is close by), ice fish on Devereaux Lake, or area lakes, or cross-country ski the area (marked trails at Black Mountain). Ski resorts near Petoskey offer the best in Michigan, only 45 minutes away. Pick your activity, or just relax at quiet Devereaux Lake.

Then, about 3 weeks before you expect to arrive, send us a check or PayPal to us the remainder of the rental and a separate check for $450 Security Deposit, which we will simply hold. About two weeks after you return home, your Security Deposit will be returned with the word 'Void' written across it, or we'll PayPal it back to you. That's assuming there are no surprises when the cleaning lady gets there...

We just got back from a fantastic week at this cottage. It has it all - especially suited for a family. The biking trails from Cheboygan to Indian Village are great..right along Mullet Lake with pleasant places to stop. We were not disappointed in any way. Fun time cruising the lake with the paddle boat in the evening, watching the geese and ducks. We would highly recommend this place as a great get-a-way.

Excellent weather made our week particularly enjoyable, but we couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and stay! The house and grounds were immaculate. Tire swing, horseshoes, front deck, basketball court, pool table, plenty of DVDs all made for plenty of entertainment for our 3-year-old and adults alike. We brought a lot of kitchen utensils of our own, never expecting that so many things were provided. Only one word of advice: the fishing on Deveraux wasn't too great. Go to Mullet Lake if you want to catch anything more than a turtle! We can't recommend this house highly enough. It's a great place for the price, location and amenities.
Owner's Response: We're glad you had a wonderful week! As the renters noted, there are many close-by lakes for serious fishing. The fishing on our lake has historically been good, but we'll monitor the activity closely as we get into the 2010 season.

secluded tranquility

This was a very peacful place to be. We really enjoyed ourselves. Cell phones did not work so it made it all the better. The people who own this place are great to work with to make this the best place to stay. I would reccomend this property to everyone. Close to a lot of different places, but still secluded.

What a relaxing vacation!

This cabin is really well kept. It had all the supplies we needed to be comfortable. There are stores near by for shopping. It was nice and warm with the wood burner even though the weather was in the 30's. The view was beautiful as we look out the windows on the snow covered lake. It was easy for my elderly parents to get around in and entertaining for my teenagers who enjoyed wandering around outside, watching movies, playing pool and shopping in town at the stores. I took my parents to St. Ignace to the casino one afternoon which was only about 35 miles away. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away and relax.

Great Central AND Secluded Location

We had a wonderful vacation at this cabin. It is well suited for families and centrally located to many State Parks, including Mackinac Island. The master bedroom is huge with a jetted tub. Our five kids (aged 15-5) had plenty to keep them busy outside as well as plentiful games, puzzles, videos & DVDs. It had everything we needed for our home away from home.
