Featured in the January 2005 issue of Phoenix Home & Garden, this careful restoration dates back to 1671 when it housed stables for 'Dragones de la Reina' a regiment led by the Spanish officer who lived there. Just one block from the Jardin in the heart of Centro San Miguel on Recreo street, you can't beat the location. The mission of the owner was to create something not able to be duplicated in charm and romance and every detail reflects the highest standard of modern comforts inside old San Miguel. When you step off the street into its long bougainvillea lined stone passageway, you'll be transported into a serene island of paradise where all your cares and concerns will melt away. Four uniquely designed and furnished bedrooms with private baths provide guests with comfort and privacy. The ground floor features a master suite with king bed and living area with fireplace as well as a loft bedroom with queen bed and loft day bed.

The second story provides a master suite with king bed and fireplace and a cozy queen size bed with fireplace. The linens and appointments in the bedrooms are second to none as are the bathroom features and fluffy towels. The decor of the bedrooms and baths reflects the 'old world' with toilets even tucked away in beautiful 'water closets.' The striking roof terrace puts you literally 'on top' of the many church steeples and historic buildings of Centro San Miguel. This bird's eye view is just magnificent at sunset while enjoying a drink watching the changing sky to the west. The living room and dining room, with seating for eight persons, combine for coziness.
