Situated on picturesque Mattituck Inlet, you could take a scenic, leisurely, kayak ride out to the Long Island Sound. Or lie in the hammock and watch the sun set over the creek, with the swans, egrets, Great Blue Heron surrounding you. If more intimate surroundings are appealing, relax on the stone patio, or sit back and watch large koi and hundreds of assorted fish swimming in the large pond. If you have patience, the giant Bullfrog will make an appearance. The cottage property has been lovingly designed by a professional gardener, and is frequently visited by hummingbirds. Baskets, arbors, and pots spill over with delightful, fragrant combinations of plant and flower material. The outdoor shower was designed in a tropical theme, to bring back memories of showering in the waterfalls of Hawaii.

Take the Ferry to Shelter Island, the Hamptons, go shopping at Tanger Mall, or just take a walk into Mattituck and browse the quaint shops . For commuters, the LIRR train and bus are within walking distance.

Come out to the East end of Long Island to enjoy the beautiful beaches and plentiful farm stands. And in the Fall there are acres of pumpkins and the best vineyards. And then there are also fields of Christmas Trees.
