Docking privilege at pier for your boat, which can be launched from one of several ramps nearby. Excellent fishing and crabbing just five minutes from pier, and deep water ocean access just 10 minutes away. Large screened dining porch. Covered parking for 2 cars. Private balcony off master bedroom plus balcony on first floor. Enjoy water views from dining area. TV/DVD/VCR/Cable AM/FM/CD stereo.

Chincoteague is the perfect family vacation destination. With Assiteague National Wildlife Refuge just minutes away by car, it is easy to enjoy the wild ponies, hiking, the varied wildlife and birding, or just head out to the unspoiled beaches of the barrier island. Swim near lifeguard stations, or stroll to more secluded beaches. You can go kayaking, sailing, surfing or hire small motor boats. Fish or crab off the dock or your boat. Chincoteague is perfect for biking, and Assiteague has bike paths throughout. Great shopping, good restaurants, homemade ice cream. Mini-golf and movie theater nearby. Or just relax in the townhouse and enjoy the waterfront views. Sit on the balcony with a good book and watch the sun set over Wallops Island. Local museums include NASA, Oyster and Wildfowl, as well as nearby activities such as Furnace Town colonial village, Delmarva Shorebirds baseball, and the world famous Wards Museum in Salisbury.

My first visit to Chincoteague was wonderful. I had always wanted to stay on the island and after a lot of searching, I found Sunset Landing. This home is very spacious, offers spectacular views, and it is designed/decorated with a simple elegance that makes you feel at home. The pier is exceptional for fishing, crabbing, or just watching the sunset.

I plan to return in the near future and I highly recommend renting Sunset Landing for a vacation that will be unforgettable. Stay where you can have a great home away from home! Sunset Landing is a spectacular tranquil place with views that catch your breath.

Our stay at Sunset Landing was a perfect way to introduce us to the island of Chincoteague. The property was clean and spacious. There was a nice dock that stretched out into the bay, it had benches to sit on(my personal favorite place to read) and room to fish/crab and dock a boat if you had one.The owner was great, emailing back and forth with me about the property and the island itself. He sent me pictures and had a write up on places to go, things to do/see and restaurants to eat at. He was more than willing to answer any questions I had. The location was great, offering sunset views each night. There is a marina down the road and one of my favorite activities, Daisey boat rides just up the street--great way to see the wildlife on the island. The whole island is a photographers dream. All in all, a very pleasant stay, more than enough room for my family of 4, everything we needed was available to us. I would definitely recommend Sunset Landing as a place to stay.
