The Local Area - Olu Deniz:
Mountain Valley sits at the bottom of 'Baba Dag' or 'Father Mountain'.
Olu Deniz, which is only a short journey away, has one of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey and also the world famous Blue Lagoon. At both the beach & lagoon there are a wide selection of water sports available and speed boats can be hired. There are also daily boat trips which depart from the main beach, touring around the beautiful Olu Deniz bays and include a barbeque lunch on board.
In Olu Deniz there is also a small selection of bars, restaurants and 'lokantas' (specialising in Turkish cuisine).
The Local Area - Hisaronu & Fethiye:
For the more lively, nearby Hisaronu village which is only a 5 minute walk away from Mountain Valley, offers a more bustling night-life and a greater selection of shops, restaurants & bars as well as a weekly outdoor market where many bargains can be found and haggled over!
The Nearby town of Fethiye is only a 15 minute dolmus (the local bus service) ride away. This is where you will find a wealth of jewellery/leather/traditional Turkish carpet shops as well as many other local attractions and historical sites. A huge outdoor market is also held here every Tuesday. Fethiye harbour has some of the best views of this region of the South West Turkish coast - also known as the 'Turquoise' coast, and also, for fish lovers, some of the most delicious seafood!
